Just wandered if people would like to share where the cheapest things are at the moment such as sleeping bags, disposable BBQs, beer, and other food items people can suggest for us, thanks :)

Poundland is great for small camping accessories, you can get disposable bbqs there also.  Things like bungees, water carriers, camping plates and such, I've probably spent about £15-20 there and saved quite a bit by doing so (some places charge 3 or 4 times as much for basically identical items like water carriers).

This thread has some discussion about what people have been buying and from where.

Would also recommend poundland. Got an emergency shelter sheet and emergency blankets and a dynamo torch for £3, bargainatious.  The 99p shop also sells things for a whole penny less!
Argos are doing offers on camping stuff too i believe.

Asda had a 1 litre whistling kettle recently for under £3 and I'd agree with recommending poundland. Some of their stuff leans too close to disposable for my liking, but there certainly are bargains.

Bought cheap shades from 99p shop last year and they lasted hours. Upgraded to Wilkinsons £1.99 this year and they've done a few weeks already.

tesco seem to be alright for camping equipment

they had a camping stove, pretty simple one, with 4 refills only 20 quid i think, worked out cheaper than Go Outdoors/Millets when I looked

as for sunglasses H+M or topshop do some ok aviator style sunglasses for like 4 quid i think?no point taking expensive sunglasses

Another thumbs up for pound land.

Also noticed tesco doing cheap stuff like chairs and blow up beds ( a must imo)

One item you cannot be without is duct tape for when you fall into your tent and rip it.
