I bought a Car Park ticket just in case I needed to drive to Glasto. Turns out I don't (yay!) so i'm planning on just giving the sticker to a steward or too someone who needs it when I get there. Hopefully this will give me some good karma and it will be sunny all weekend!

Last year we had a spare one so I walked up the queue of cars on the road offerring it for a tenner and after about half an hour I'd sold it (I think they were £15 on the gate).

My flights from Finland ended up costing about £180. That should really put things into perspective.

My Glastonbury ticket ended up costing about £200. Does that put things into perspective?!

It has to be said, though, some people are incredibly stupid. I'm going to a fest in Portugal in a month's time and someone genuinely posted this on the event's Facebook wall yesterday (the last sentence being the prime offender!).

"can i just check, do the tickets include camping and if so where do you camp? also any recommendations for flights from the UK?"

Pretty much. You could get a trip to Finland or a ticket to Glasto for the amount of money they're asking for a bloody car pass. Frivolous people..

Hi, I'm the ebayer who took the auction off - someone told me to check out this forum so I see why I got a few emails!
It was too late to end without selling, but the highest bidder was clearly fake so I've relisted (I bloody well hope they are fake...) as buy it now and added a note to say car parking passes should be available at the festival.
I need a cup of tea and a sit down after all this, but will have a good browse around the forums too. Cheers

Very nice of you to do that, I apologise if my comments in this thread came off as offensive, but it was a general comment about 'touting' and the such. It's good that your heart was in the right place :)

Maybe a little silly to give away (£20 will buy you a few beers) & I am sure that there are people on here who are in need of one & would be happy to pay face value.  If you do really want to give it away why not offer it on here rather than giving it to a steward.

Well I didn't want to promise it too some one on here, only to not be able to get it to them. And thanks for the idea of walking up the cars, i've never been to Glasto so didn't really know what to expect  :D

Not everyone would bother emailing everyone back and then to cancel it...A big thanks for sorting it....Welcome to the forums.. :)

Well, the camping seems entirely reasonable as some festivals don't include it and sell a separate weekend+camping, etc.

Flights, well it depends where they are based, but still doesn't sound unreasonable a thing to ask about - someone may have just found an excellent price at a good time, for example?

Some people would sell their own grandmother for £'s. No shame.

I bought a car park ticket and now don't need it.
I am arriving by coach and the plan was to get mt car to the festival (somehow) and drive home.
We can't get the car to the festival, we have to get the coach there so the car park ticket is now not needed.
Does it make me a cock if I put it on ebay????
Starting price 99p If it sells for 99p then I'm happy it has gone to someone who paid what they can afford and its going to be put it to use. If it sells for more than the face value then I can say with a clear mind that this was there choice and I may use the money to make an extra donation at the property lock-ups.
I can understand the frustation as there are some who are complete tossers and have bought some on purpose to make money. I hate these people but if there are those who want to buy the stuff then this will always happen.
People bumping up the price of the item with no intention if purchasing are really not playing fair to those with a genuine reason for selling. It also puts a little panic into those who want to purchase them. If you weren't adding to the bidding, would the prices be getting this high???

Rant over and happy festival all.

I bought one from See tickets last week for £21.50 (inc. p&p)!!!

Arrived Friday morning... How does anyone on eBay not realise you can still buy them officially from the glastonbury website; its all written in plain simple English for all to read!
