Sometimes I too wish I was a shameless unscrupulous tw*t. They may not have a conscience they can polish up and admire, but they're bound to be happier and wealthier than I am.
Edit: Wow! 100 posts, I'm "addicted", apparently.

There will always be people willing to deceive those who are wiling to be deceived. It's a rip off and wrong obviously, but those who buy them on an impulse without looking into whether you can get one from Seetickets or on the gate first are a bit silly.

Remember this is an auction - from what I'm seeing all auctiions are starting UNDER cost price.
So the sellers are willing to take less than they paid if that's what it comes to - it's the buyers pushing the price up.
Anyone want to buy one for cost price, then, as I have a spare now?

I tried to set up a charity auction telling people on ebay that passes were available on the gate
but I had to jump through so many ebay hoops to set it up I got frustrated and bailed out.
And ebay and paypal want a slice of all charity donations and ebay has nominated an organisation
to distribute charitable donations and they take a slice of the pie, too

The festival should leave car park tickets available on the See Tickets website. I imagine the reason people are willing to pay over the odds on eBay is that they think the festival parking has sold out.
And, obviously, the sellers are cocks, just like all other ticket touts.

Hi,
I had no idea it would be going for so far above face value, I was happy to sell for less so have decided to stop the auction and re-list as buy it now. Just emailing those who have bid to let them know.

Good to hear the Glastonbury spirit is present, even on eBay!

Hi, I'm the ebayer who took the auction off - someone told me to check out this forum so I see why I got a few emails!
It was too late to end without selling, but the highest bidder was clearly fake so I've relisted (I bloody well hope they are fake...) as buy it now and added a note to say car parking passes should be available at the festival.
I need a cup of tea and a sit down after all this, but will have a good browse around the forums too. Cheers

Blimey, for £200 you could get a taxi in from quite some distance out. It might even cover the cost of parking up on the verge and having your car towed!

I bought a Car Park ticket just in case I needed to drive to Glasto. Turns out I don't (yay!) so i'm planning on just giving the sticker to a steward or too someone who needs it when I get there. Hopefully this will give me some good karma and it will be sunny all weekend!

Maybe a little silly to give away (£20 will buy you a few beers) & I am sure that there are people on here who are in need of one & would be happy to pay face value. If you do really want to give it away why not offer it on here rather than giving it to a steward.

My flights from Finland ended up costing about £180. That should really put things into perspective.
