Not that we want to see someone tell us they have 95 food stalls!
I notice they have the 'pussy parlour' rebadged as the last chance saloon!
kaiser chiefs were good, although rickys voice straining in patches
but delighted to see Mike Peters and Big Country - saw them recently in April and they deserve a little tv coverage

i dont think the sound mix is helping really, the courteeners sounded bloody awful. like i said on the other thread, sky arts made an absolute pigs ear of cropredy festival last year sound wise. shame, as its a great channel.
whats with the interviews every 5 minutes too? its more of a chat show!

Liked the presenters, huge improvement of Fearne and Reggie but it was too short of a show and too many interviews. Quite like the look of IOW as a festival though

Liam from the Courteneers has the worst voice of any front man I have ever heard on the basis of that broadcast....

Everything about that program was terrible. I could tell the interviews were trying to head for higher ground but it didn't work. Altough in their support Isle of Wight seems like an awful, lazily curated festival riding on it's loosely related history anyway.
Edited to add: I once met Liam Fray from the Courteeners. I didn't realise who he was but his mate was talking about what a genius he was. I called him the dirty C-word. He sulked away. I still fill with pride every time he's mentioned.

All i thought while watch that is, thank f**k for the BBC covering 3 of the major festvials!!
2 Hours is way to short if they wanna put the interview crap in, no red button to something you like. Presenters slightly better than ferne, reggie and zane.
Then again IoW looks like a terrible festival to be fair!
That said better than ITV and they had a decent enough direction if it was to be longer and show few more acts/longer sets

Liam looked Rusty saying that, they haven't played live together for 6 months, obvs the mechanics would be wrong... better performance in 3 weeks and it's good for me

I watched some of it last night and thought it was kack!Bad singing live, makes me think twice about going to see Kaiser Chiefs , although to be fair this is only because my crew want to stick together on the last night and two of them actually like the Kaiser chiefs! I hope to be at the back and hopefully it won't sound as bad, i be topping up for the finally of Kool and the Gang

It's all very well showing people doing cover versions in the studio but there had been a full day's festival to choose from which I'm sure most people would rather see.
No matter how interesting they're trying to make the interviews, there are only so many answers to "Have you been to the IOW before?" and "Do you like playing festivals?".
Then again, I've just looked at the line up and to be fair there wasn't a lot more to choose from that they didn't show at least one song from. I'd have liked to have seen some Band of Horses and Joan Jett though.
