To me it clearly shows they've pretty just joined the forum today!!?? and feels they can just get a ticket, when they proberley don't know anything much about the festivals anyways?

Maybe travelling here for the festival wsn't an option but now they live here it's more of a possibility?

Anyway this seems absurd, you've said sorry so that's good. It is annoying when ill-educated necky chancers turn up and try the "any chance I can get a cheap ticket lol" approach but this person clearly isn't one of those.

I'd have thought the person who started the thread about turning up without a ticket and getting anyhow would have got this sort of response, but I guess they were English (joke! joke!).

Wow.  Just wow.  I'm literally gob-smacked.  How can someone make such a comment, and then go out of their way to defend such offensive and ignorant views?  I'd be hanging my head in shame if i'd spouted that crap on an international forum, not digging even deeper.  Learn when to stop talking.

I decided just a few days before Glastonbury one year not to go to it. Had I known about this forum then I could have given my ticket away to someone needy. As it was I gave it to a friend who was going, to see if he could just give it to someone trying to get in, but he didn't find anyone so it was wasted. What I'm trying to say is that it makes perfect sense to post asking for a ticket, right up to the very last day or so because you may just come across someone in the same position as I was then.
PS - I'm not flippant with Glasto tickets, I was having a breakdown at the time.

Someone clearly doesn't know what an all-consuming effort it is to work out visas and move your life across the ocean.    In any case, although some of the replies in this thread make me sad, I'm trying to not let that deter me from my search for last-minute tickets. Sorry, but if I were able to to have gotten tickets ages ago, I wouldn't need to come here to ask around, would I? I'm going to try up until the last second If a miracle happens -- hurray! If not, see you all in 2013
