With 2 weeks to go but only really yesterday to knuckle under and tackle the necessary evil that is packing for the G, I undertook a practise run and a check of festival sundries to prepare for the inevitable chore.
Within just 2 hours of unloading and sifting through the various Ikea bags of tat that had been in the loft and because I'm travelling by public transport but also now own a modified sack trolley, I couldnt believe it when it all magically fitted into one large holdall - tent, sleeping bag, blankets, tat. I know I managed to scale back on not taking so much crap anymore last year (attending 13 festivals mostly by public transport helped) but basically, other than the clothing pack which will happen on Sunday 19th I'm already set to head off it turns out, no need for any 'practice'.
The booze bag sits perfectly on top, now just waiting for the ratchet straps to arrive from Fleabay and I'm ready to go. I cant bloody believe it.
Anyone else in a state of readiness and just willing the days away now?

I'm waiting until the weekend of the 19th - it's my birthday weekend next weekend so have lots of people coming - so having everything over the spare bed wouldn't be the most practical thing

I have been almost packed for weeks now - trouble is I keep buying stuff and now realise that I shall have to repack most of it, or it will not fit on trolley!
We are taking my car, but it is only a Mini - and even though its the new Mini, its hardly built for storage!

Will start this week. We are slighty better off than most as I am in disabled and have a car pass to drive on site. So it really is a matter of scale as we are not too worried about the amount of crap we take.

I'll be doing my packing the Sunday before, everything will be laid out in the living room, ticked off in the Excel spreadsheet I've made, and then probably repacked 10 times as I try and fit everything in my bag!

hehe, I've got to pack 2000 cds and get them back to the UK, pack up the rest of my stuff and store it over the summer, move out my flat then back to the UK on the 18th June. I'll start thinking about G packing sometime after that...

Izzy, REMEMBER TO PACK THE FLAG!!!
Distant lands sounds very Narnia-ish
I'll be starting off in Amsterdam this Thursday, making a few pitstops before finally reaching Worthy Farm
Flag packed!

I leave for another fest this Thursday and have half packed for that. For G it should hopefully just be a case of taking out the clothes for washing and then repacking, got no reason to unpack anything else.

I'm so excited that if left to my own devices I'd be packed, dressed, wellied and sitting by the front door waiting for my lift already.

Ok well haven't packed yet but a lot of it is sorted out ready to pack! Fancy dress is in Hoover bag, waterproofs in Hoover bag too, Sleeping bag ready with camping bed, all other clothes will pack a few days before and will pick up alcohol and snack food the Monday week of the festival. All I need to know now is where my bags and tent will be pick up from!

I've been doing a lot of re-organising since my friend couldn't come, and had to completely change travel plans, etc, but after a few last minute purchases I should be ready to pack next week
