Great to see more stages added, I've been trying to explain tonight why to a friend why V festival and every thing else is a total sham compared to Glastonbury,
This is another example of the complete diversity of the best festival in the world!
Plus my tickets came today and I'm a little pissed!
Love the farm leave no TENTS
COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boo ya!!!! Amazing news. some great, diverse acts on there. and what the heck is the spider...???? sounds intriguing.... Probably some ridiculous mechanised fire breathing spider metamorphosis of the stage I'd expect

It's the late night show they put on, using the flames & lasers to full effect, & with trapeze artists & flame throwers. See the video posted above. That is also when the Lords of Lightning perform.

I think when it says...
Quote
“Yes... and the stage will revolve”.
Surely it does infact mean that it will be revolving?

Quote at bottom of article “Yes... and the stage will revolve”.

Its good its back to a 360' rig. Ok so the first Arcadia was tidgy in comparison to the over ostentatious behemoth that exists today (I much prefer the baby rig personally) but it was a brilliant experience being able to dance on the arms and get really close to the firey woomf woomfs. And I dont expect there will be much climbing on any arms other than performers anymore but 360 is good. Lots more room for people

Ahh my bad, I missed that in the article. Looks good, just a bit worried its going to be rammo & not catch anything.
Would like to see Stanton Warriors & have only heard good things about Dirtyphonics.

Over on the bestival forums, last year, quite a few people were saying the same thing. They really liked the old set up, being able to get all round the rig.
I mentioned this to the Arcadia team over a quick beer in Brizzle last autumn. "Can you make the spider like the afterburner, build a bridge to get the acts in?". They were already on the case.
The arms though - the ground level ones - they were usable last year? During Beardyman, I rested my old man legs. And jauntily tapped my foot. I'm that hardcore.

Been waiting for this one, didn't get to spend too much time there last year but ended up practically living there at bestival (well not quite but you know what I mean
) liking the sound of the 360 access too, like Lucy says it should mean you feel like your right in the thick of it.

Looking at the big aerial photo in the article and I reckon there are no more than 3000 people tops in that field watching the show and its not all that big an area even with the changes they had made to it since 09. Now, consider this. A. The Arcadia rig is 360' and also set back a bit with a large area of field in front of it. B. its in a field about 2 or 3 times larger than where it was last year. C. This field being thus a lot lot larger and a 360' rig can accommodate a feckload more people than the old site. So D. there should be a problem watching a show. Fine Guide map.
I just hope that the entrance into the field opens very widely to allow for a fairly swift flow of people into it. It certainly looks that way on the map. Previously having not studied the new map properly I had it envisaged that this new one way system would enter in on what is now The Common previously the Arcadia Field and that entrance was dangerously tiny. It took me about 3 weeks for it to compute that Arcadia has been moved into where The Common was an that was a fair old waste of space in places other than the Bassline and the Igloo. Compacting these into the old Arcadia Field makes a lot more sense.

As I'm not too bothered about U2, I'll be leaving that early to catch "The Spider" & Stanton Warriors. There's so much more around there though but could end up coming back for Dirtyphonics.
