Have just had a trial run at putting the tent up myself and all i succeeded in doing was snapping a pole! Is anyone arriving around 12 tomorrow that could help me put my tent up, i know that sounds really pathetic

Not going (wish I was) but you are probably going to need a new pole but good luck.  For future festivals it might be worth getting a pop up tent as they go up in seconds plus a few minutes to bang the guy ropes in.  I've used one by Vango in the past which suited my needs (two person if you are friendly!)  It was double skinned and very quick to put up and although it took a bit of knack to take down it was still still far easier to deal with than most conventional tents.

I'm not getting there til at least 1 otherwise I'd help. But I do think you'll need a new pole as they don't come with spares.  Better have another try before you leave rather than disaster when you get there.
