Festival choices are rank: Tennents, Carling, Tuborg and Carlsberg seem to be the choices(cheap, cheap, cheap)...I'd rather pay a quid more for Becks Vier, Stella Artois, Peroni etc

Wasn't it Tuborg last year?

Sure it was Tuborg ( catspiss Carlsberg in a different label ) absolute crap probably like 3.5% had to drink gallons to get pissed.. or am I just an alcoholic ?

I don't get all the whining about the fact that it's Tuborg. Personally I find it tastes fine and does the job fine, I have my spirits for when I wanna get w*nkered!

Yes its Tuborg again { as they have a running contract } By the way its 4.0% ABV
I prefer the old Tuborg that was about in the 70's but it may have tasted different as I was younger.
Whatever people say I am sure they will be able to cope.

Compared to all the other collection of largers, i quite like Tuborg. Goes down well with a cigarette in hand too.

I'm sick of seeing all the Tuborg bashing. Any one with a single taste bud can tell you that it doesn't remotely resemble Carlsberg or Carling. It is a non-offensive taste, but a clean and crisp one. And yes goes great with a smoke in hand

I really disliked Tuborg last year
I have never had a beer that goes straight through me like that did! I would be holding the bottle and then need to hit the loos within sconds of the last sip. This happened each time!
Didn't stop me drinking it during the hazy nights though
FYI - If anyone is interested in my loo habits, I usually only have to pee once in about 5 pints!

I went to their bottling plant and sampled some lovely beers straight off the production line. Don't mind Tuborg Gold (5.8%) either. Also went to the Carlsberg brewery as well, I preferred their Elephant Beer (7.2%) :-) I'd rather see something like Oranjeboom on sale though.I prefer the old Tuborg that was about in the 70's but it may have tasted different as I was younger.

to be honest i would group becks vier / stella 4% with the first lot, both weak and taste like shit!!
i think part of the reason they use these lagers as the standard lager are simply because they are so weak. they wouldnt be able to get away with plying huge crowds with anything more than about 4% alcohol. Peroni is like 5.5% isnt it? small but makes a difference i think.
For this reason I highly doubt the brothers on site is actually 7%, they probably wouldnt get a licence for it! it goes down far too easily!

I went in to speak to the Tent manager last year as he is a old friend but never clocked the new name but will take a note of it this year.

Glasto- worker, do you know if it will be Gaymers cider again this year? I like a nice cold pint of cider, as i'm not a beer drinker, but i find Gaymers utterly repulsive

I know that festivals have a deal with Tuborg but I really think that they should start doing more beers that people usually drink outside of the festival. Being a student I know what a lot of people drink and I can safely say I have never seen someone bring round a few tuborgs to get the night started they just dont really seem to sell it in many places. I know the rationale behind it is probably that they get it for cheap and sell it at a relatively cheap price to get people to buy it but I honestly think if they stocked more popular beers whether it be stella, kronenburg, grolsch whatever I think they would still sell a lot of it even if it was slightly more expensive. Problem with tuborg for me is that it gives me rotten hangovers and thats def not what you want at glasto! they should def sell red stripe, the king of lagers!!

Tuborg was piss last year.
Will definitely be on the hunt for some decent lager at some other bars though.
Not a fan of the real ale and I can only handle a small few ciders per day.
