I heard Metallica are at Sonisphere this year?? MY FAVE BAND!

Does this festival do day tickets rather than a weekend?
I'm quite sure they don't but just wanted to double check as its not a festival I usually attend or am familiar with and just need some basic knowledge.

Has anyone been here before?  price ideas and costs?
What range of music is it?
e.g.  heavy/metal/alternative
e.g. Variety/indie/mainstream

well you missed the ballot for the day tickets...

and theres the lineup... its quite heavy, but has lighter bands.

I only wanted to do the Saturday, can't understand why day tickets can't be made available

there was a ballot for them, if you missed that then there is no chance of getting them i dont think... besides £80 for a day is a bit much especially the friday where there is less bands on

I'm sure if you wait until they're through doing the ballot the remaining tickets will come on the market. I'm pretty sure it won't sell out with the ballot and weekend tickets.

Ahh thanks for that, I'll keep a look out. Not gonna get my hopes up anyways! Just thought it was worth asking as I am not familiar with this fest or how it works....etc

there may be less bands but f**k me, look at how big they are!!  

But yeah, 8 bands missing from the middle of the line up.

i would only consider one of them to be big, the others really haven't lived up to the name

Agreed. For me it would be the The big 1 with Megadeth support.  

I wonder how it would be played if one of the bands had to pull out?    The big 3 doesn't have the same ring to it really!!

Just to let you all know!
I ended up going to Sonni! My bro suprised me and bought me a ticket!

I got to see the big 4 including the mighty metallica! What a great metal festival!
