Monday - deranged.
Suicide Tuesday - does what it says on the tin.
Wednesday - feeling un-hinged.
Thursday - clouds begin to clear.
Friday - deep down still shaky but feeling OK to bullshit the real world.
I can't speak for all but it seems to take longer the older you get. I haven't been for a few years so the above may need extending this year.

getting over the 5 days of binge drinking takes me until around Tue/Wed
In 2007 where I got up everyday and hit the beer before even eating on the Mon / Tue I was on the verge of DT's - shakes and allsorts ! Never again lol - the rule for me now is no drinking before 12pm !
The glasto blues around 2 weeks
I always take the week off following glasto - I just cannot bear the thought of going back to work and having to manage my team etc

I book the Tuesday off but I always wish I had the full week off just to get over the disappointment of being back in the real world. It's going to be even worse this year knowing that we have a 2 year wait until the next one.

I can't believe you all take loads of time off after?! I'm back to work Tuesday. No point being depressed at home, might as well be depressed at work. That and I can spend ages on the web mooning about the weekend.

I'll be back at work on Tuesday. It's my long held philosophy that it's better to feel like crap and mope around on work's time than your own.

It takes me about a week. I used to work in a call centre and being tied to a phone in a beige office speaking to idiots was just too depressing after being free as a bird at Glasto

Back at work on Wednesday. Have taken Tuesday off this year, because we intend to wring it out until they kick us off site on Monday. If I feel like going to work on Tuesday I can, but I think I'll need the day to decompress before rejoining the "normals".
As to actually getting over it, I think first Sunday of October for me. Going to be awful this year knowing it will be two years away. On the positive side I have "Flaming Lips" at Jodrel Bank the weekend after. Green Man in August, and Echo and the Bunnymen in Sept. Oh and I have a friend visiting for a few weeks in July as well.
I'd say that's the best thing to do. Fill you time with things you like to do. Especially immediately after. The come down is a bit easier if you know you have something to look forward to.

Used to go back to work on the Tuesday, and was OKish - one year went back on the Monday afternoon for an 8 hour shift... productive.
Last year had the whole week off after and was lovely (esp as weather was so good). But did miss being able to share war stories at work!

Most festivals I'm back on the Tuesday, after traveling home on the monday, Glasto I like to take an extra day, long lie in tuesday morning then to tackle the dirty washing/clean the tent etc

I still do. Sadly this year I am back on the Wednesday, ideally I like 2 weeks off with glastonbury slap in the middle, but this year I couldn't get the time off. It is nice to be back and boring/regaling your colleagues with your tales, but give me sat around the house, packing away the camping gear and watching it on iplayer as reminiscence any day.

I'm very glad I walked out of my job of 2 and a half years the other week. If I had to go back to that after Glasto this year i'd......well, probably have walked out of it the week after Glasto!

Used to take an extra day off, but don't bother these days - can 'fight through it'.
Am my own boss now though, so I don't work I don't get money; was made redundant from my previous job on the day I got back from Glastonbury last year! (Que, "I could just, like, live at festivals, man!" thoughts - if some of the other 'issues' I had with life at the time weren't around, might have too
).

Last year it took me like a week to get over it but a month for the nostalgia to wear off
I'll be better this year as I'm doing more gigs and shiz also because of a certain party in September.
