I liked what I hard of them on the radio, but was a bit disappointed by his vocals on Jools the other night. Will try and give them a listen, though.

What about Cage The Elephant ?

Really? I thought it was ok -  I cannot stop listening to their album at the moment, its really good. You can hear little bits of Pixies, Sonic Youth etc throughout.

Just started listening to Cage the Elephant, they sound pretty good. So many smaller bands I have discovered for this year; I'm delighted.

This will be the 3rd time I will try to see Cage the Elephant. Have had tickets to see them before but shows/appearances have been cancelled both times due to injury and illness. Prefer their first album to the new one though.

Ed Sheeran has a similar accoustic style. Very hotly tipped for the coming year - Playing Croisant Neuf on Friday or Saturday. Has a very varied catalouge but this is one of my favs.

This is rather good. Will have to keep an eye out for him.

If you already know Cage The Elephant then Yuck and The Joy Formidable are two really really good bands doing the rounds at the moment. Like Cage they'be both got some airplay on Radio One recently so you may well have heard them but delving deeper will lead you into a world of unimaginable wonders and delights (or something like that).

if you like yuck and that "sound".

get the EMA album just out, she's not at glastonbury right enough but it's album of the year so far by some distance for me.

some of the lyrics are dark though.

Beans on Toast is friends with Frank Turner and they regularly appear on stage together.  Beans is usually founnd on the greenpeace stage / strummerville and sometimes leftfield.  I haven't seen him confirmed yet for this year.

It depends, some say Dinosaur Jr, Pavement or Sonic Youth.

Jenny and Johnny up at the park stage - I seen them in Glasgow this year and it was brilliant - when they came out for the encore without the band it was like Jonny cash and Blondie harmonising -

Also, the Low Anthem - on Avalon Sunday night at 8.30 they are also on the pyramid at 12.00 on sunday but having seen them in a small gig in Glasgow where you could hear a pin drop when they were harmonising, avalon will be the place to be.

When/where are We Are Scientists playing?

Think you've possibly misread the post, as I'm talking about the Dot to Dot festival, where I'm seeing a number of the bands listed on Monday, rather than at Glastonbury.  We Are Scientists played Glastonbury last year so won't be there this year.

If you did understand and wanted to know when they are playing Manchester they are on in the Academy 2 as part of the Dot to Dot festival on Monday.  Also in Bristol/Nottingham today and tomorrow, can't remember which was around.
