No doubt on this one for me. (Assuming the weather has stayed dry) It's Wednesday evening, when your tent is up, you're organised, and you're sitting on a patch of clean, dry grass with a can. It's sunny and the end of the festival still feels years away. Good times.

Hmm...I think its the Wednesday Efests Meet for me although I do secretly look forward to the hearing the first sound of a longdrop door clanging shut as I know I can be only on one place on the planet

The first sitting down and stone circle trips are always a highlight.
Although, I get a silly thrill when I have my band put on.

When all friends have arrived from all over and pitched their tents. You then know it's time for The Teddy Bears Picnic!

Wandering around on the first night when it's just about dusk with the atmosphere buzzing and everyone buzzing around me.

After the very early start, slogging all that crap to Paddington, down the lines there, on the train, around the lines at Castle Cary, onto and off the bus, in the cue to get in at the site, then around in circles trying to find the right spot, then fighting the tent for what apparently should only take 5 minutes but ends up taking 25, unloading stuff and getting everything right and together... it's time to crack a can, have a smoke, and take a moment... before getting right into it. *That* moment.

Putting the last tent peg in and hitting up the brothers bar.
Least favourite moment? Two hours of Clint Eastwood on the Friday morning sound check. Urgh.

Tent up, first drink in hand, stood on the hill looking over the site knowing it's yours to explore for 5 amazing days.

One/Two for me.
Getting through the gates knowing my stash hasn't been discovered.
Coming up like kites together with all my best friends on the undiscovered stash

I have two... (greedy I know)
When that machine seals the wristband clasp, I am officially there. Then it is the moment after the tent is finished and I sit down knowing the next 5 days are all mine.

the first night when you get everyone to walk all the way to the stone circle without looking back. and then looking back and getting that overwhelming feeling of euphoria. yes you really are at glastonbury festival, and it wasn't just the best dream of you life. !!

It is absolutely the achievement of getting everything set up packed away etc and rewarding yourself with the first drink and smoke! The biggest smile on your face as you realise that for 5 days normality is a thing of the past!
Oh I got a wee shiver typing that!
