The thread about the Mexican wrestling got me thinking -
Ok, Glastonbury is pretty varied generally, so hard to classify 'different' especially in the circus fields, but wondering what other people have got as a 'must see' for things a bit out of the Glastonbury mainstream.
I'm sure there's plenty of interesting stuff I've missed in previous years, wrestling is already on the list for this year!

From past years, two that stand out (of the many, many) for me are:

Chainsaw carving:

These were all carved in a fifteen minute 'competition' with various chainsaws.  I ended up buying this one as a memento - better than a couple of t-shirts, I reckon :).
Last year they were stationed at the top of glebeland I believe.

Trapeze:

Ok, this performer not very impressive to watch, but much more fun because you can have a go yourself!
You need to get there early and expect to wait for two hours easily, but where else can you have a go at Trapeze for no extra cost?
In the middle of the main circus field, only operating for a few hours each day so check the signs.

Try and keep it to your three best, say (hmmm, does this deserve a hurt/heal?)

Does making time for the 'Glastonbury Festival of Food and Drink' count as an activity?  :P

I actively make this very much part of my experience and know which stalls to visit each year, which foods to try, if I see something new I will check it out and give it a go.

And then there are the ales, ciders and wines. I havent ever made it to Pennards Wines and will be making a beeline fr it most definitely this year. :D

Doing a craft activity in the Greenfields is often on my list too. Last year I made a rainproof skirt from an old tent and the year before that a bell out of Glastonbury clay. I dont really go in for the music much at the G. So much else to do on site.

I missed the wall of death last year, so that's something I want to see this year.
Also in the same venue as the wrestling La Tomatina sounds awesome :-)

I may investigate doing a craft of some sort this year, has anyone got any favourites?

The Poetry and Words tent in Greenfields is well worth a visit. I always try to go to watch ME there on the Sunday.

The outside performers in the circus fields are always worth checking out too; some great memories from watching them.

I've been meaning to go and see Stephen Frost's Impro Allstars for about 10 years now but they always clash with something. Maybe this year...

the electric show in arcadia (i hope it returns)

the fire show near the astrolab

up in the healing fields last year i passed the laughter workshop - didn't feel tempted to join them, but it's certainly a bit different.

I really like that Ukrainian's Got Talent winner who did that thing with the sand (she was on Eurovision too). Maybe there could be a set-up for that.

Definitely want to see the electric show properly this year - too big a crowd last year and was a part of a group of a people half of which (myself included, for once) were in a 'stimulated' state, but as ever it fell to me to ensure people didn't run off everywhere and get lost.
Do want to see the wall of death, being a biker myself and only once seen one, when I was 9 or so I think.

I actually found watching the entirety of the big fire shows get a bit tiresome - but then I'm not the arty 'opera' type of person, though I do like firetoys themselves.

For times of smaller craft things, often worth wandering around and checking with the people, ideally the day before or whatever.
