I am really beginning to look forward to Bella 11' now. Initially, I wasn't sure to begin with the booking of Texas and DB - a little controversial to say the least.

I properly studied the line up last night however, baring in mind the latest additions too. Providing there aren't many clashes (Which I reckon there probably will be!) I am most looking forward to:

Newton Falkner, Ed Sheeran, Lucy Rose, Ben Howard, Frank Turner, Admiral Fallow, Little Comets, Rachel Sermanni, Guillemots, Kassidy, Emilie Sande, Anna Calvi, Dry the River and The Xcerts.

With those names, a few late nights at Mothers Ruin, and the fantastic atmosphere which Bella boasts every single year - I am very happy!

What is everyone's thoughts on the lineup to date? :)

Pretty much the same as above for me!  I will admit that I was one of the ones saying that this was a very poor line up but once I had had a listen to a few of the bands I hadn't heard, I am now extremely looking forward to Bella this year.  :D

You complain in another thread that people are moaning about the line up and start this one asking opinions

For what it's worth I think the line up is very disappointing.  If you look at the headliners, two rank awful 80's bands who have no relevance now.

Hothouse headliners - Echo and the Bunnymen, a joke last time they played (not a funny one) and normally woeful live.

Kassidy, not for me but some folks happy.

Frank Turner - only act I would pay to see, although Roddy Woomble is maybe another.

The rest, a collection of bands and act that would struggle to fill smallish venues in most cities and nothing I would leave home to see.

I don't expect the biggest bands in the world at Bella but this year, for me, is the weakest/poorest i've seen.

For positives - it's a beautiful venue and a great festival to take kids/families and has a great atmosphere.  Joe who runs the festival is a pure gent and I hope it does well this year.

Uf you're happy with that line up then good on you

Don't forget Raghu Dixit..!

Got over my initial disappointment quite quickly. Looking forward to it now.  Especially Roddy Woomble, Admiral Fallow, Frank Turner, Anna Calvi and Guillemots.

Kids are champing at the bit.

I started this thread before I read the activity in the other thread...
