The cribs are way too big for the FR stage, the other two could happen. However; it would be something more similar to Pete than anything else.

To be honest I don't think the Cribs would draw much of a bigger crowd than Doherty would, especially as Muse are headlining, but yeah in terms of band status they are way too big for FR

Cral Barat to replace Pete would be funny.

But not good... cos his solo stuff is POOR.

Likely release date 21/08/2011 according to the court report. Depends whether the organisers want to stick with him I guess.

If he's out it'll probably work in their favour, good bit of PR having him just after he's been released (especially if he's missed gigs while inside).

It would be hilarious although not surprising to see Melvin Benn banging on about another exclusive

Haha, not entirely unexpected news! I'll be at 2manydj's anyway, always had a soft spot for Pete though, I grew up with The Libertines and seeing them last year was a treat. Been to see his solo gigs several times to varying degrees of success (sometimes very good/more often shite/occasionally no-shows). A lot of people at school were going to see him last Friday, and then this was announced. Gutting for them, and it's a joke for his fans who haven't learned not to depend on him yet. Whatever you think of his music or his habits, I don't think either of those things are what makes him a twat. It's his complete disregard for his fans.

In regards to Leeds, though, if he got a 6-month sentence, that means he'll only be in for 3, since sentences are automatically halved. He should be out in the nick of time, and even earlier with good behaviour etc, I still think FR should put him on earlier. He doesn't deserve a slot like that when he's such a risky booking, some people are only going to be disappointed.

I can't see them risking it. He won't definately be out on that date, could be later. I think they'll replace him then maybe slot him in if he's out.

they have to replace him surely, it'd be silly not to.

It won't affect the vast muse watching majority, it's a shame the midnight beast aren't getting replaced instead.

I wonder how the other prisoners will treat him, it could make a good sitcom like a 21 century version of Porridge.
