Got myself one of these  http://www.o2-cool.com/battery_overview.php

£7 in the sale!

I seen people using them last year and was wishing I had one for that tent heat!  Anyone here use one? how many batteries did you go through?

I got one of these for the tent. Coleman Fan

Says it will run 15 hours on 4 D cells. I'm testing it now to see how long it actually lasts. Has an LED light as well. Only downside is that it's pretty heavy, so not sure yet how the tent will do with the weight.

Bought a couple of small electric hand fans after the festival last year. So I'm prepared for that as well.

15 hours is pretty cool, no pun intended :)

Up to an hour every morning should help the sweaty regions :)

Sorry local shop in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.  They don't have a website you can order from.

Hold on, don't you get savaged on this forum for suggesting last year was too hot?

Why would you need a fan? The NRNC crowd insist that it was lovely.

(Me, I'd love some respite from the heat)

Savage me.

It was to damn hot!  I hated it, don't mind a bit of sunshine but that was ridiculous.  I'm aiming for some unsettled weather this year, little of that and a little bit of this. :)

It was far too hot last year.  Nice that it didn't rain, but the heat was too much.

Thats not a bad idea at all for the mornings!, if it allows an extra two hours kip you'd be laughing!

The solution is to get a tent with at least two doors on opposite sides, that way you can get a breeze through the tent.  Last year I slept in my Quechua Base tent, and that allows 3 (or 4) sides to be opened.  I easily got a couple of extra hours sleep compared to others.

Done this one year, but there was no breeze, at least with a fan you get some air circulating.  But yeah agreed, tents with only one opening are a nightmare.

Anyone had any experience using a tent fan? I've been thinking about getting one for Benicassim as I did struggle last year at Glasto. Don't know if it'll cool the tent down or just push hot air in your face! Bit like a fan oven!
