I've done something that seems to have made the text on eforums appear smaller.  Any idea how I can return it to normal?

It's a setting within your web-browser.

How it's corrected is dependent on the web-browser you're using, but with Firefox from its menus it's:-
View -> Zoom -> Reset

... and with Internet Explorer it's:-
View -> Zoom -> 100%

Well I thought that - but it only seems to be on efestivals.  Or maybe my minds playing tricks on me.  I'll check it out again when I've got a moment (it's happening on my other 'puter, not this one).

OK Ive been rambling through the profile ediing the css as I go and have found that anything that says BOLD should be changed to NORMAL to get rid of the bold text. Some places it will have a percentage over 100. Those can be reduced to 100. Some of them also have a font size that is large and can be reduced down. 14 is the system wide default.

Make sure you have a default theme to fall back on. If you edit the css and find it doesnt do what you want then just copy the default css template and paste it in place of your edited template.
The css youre looking for is > member.css and profile.css
