Quote to sum up your approach to this year's Glasto?

So you've packed the car up and you're ready to get on the road. For some strange reason one of your mates requires some additional inspiration before you head off and you have to pick one quote that sums up how you're feeling about whatever lies ahead and how you're going to approach it. This would be mine as I turn the intro to 'Gimme Shelter' by the Stones up as high as it will go on the car stereo and race back towards the farm for what is always potentially the greatest week of your lives:
"Our trip was different. It was a classic affirmation of everything right and true and decent in the national character. It was a gross, physical salute to the fantastic POSSIBILITIES of life in this country - but only for those with true grit, and we were chock full of that."
('Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas', Hunter.S.Thompson)
What's yours?

After all the prep I just think, "thank God for that"!
When I get in I either do a John Paul II and kiss the field, or perhaps this year a Gladiator style kneel, collect some Worthy dirt, rub it between my hands, "would you Quintus; would I" . . . and all that.

To quote one of my favourite films (and then later used in a Prodigy track)...
'We're going in...going in full throttle'

I love The Brakes song - Hold Me In The River
And the lines -
I'm all trained up, yeah, I'm ready for the ring
They'll be arriving in capes and leaving in slings
Just change it to "I'll" and that about sums up what I feel about Glastonbury. Full of optimism and excitement at arriving and completly knackered and sore after giving it my all on leaving. (And very very happy)

my mother and stepfather are coming with me this year for the first time. they're in their 50s and 60s respectively.
being able to promise them they "will see and experience things they have never seen or experienced before" is a bit of a privilege.

Yes! Yes! Gimme Shelter is exactly the one that represents approaching the festival in my mind! Winding slowly down the hill as those first notes of Keith Richards' rhythm guitar start to creep out of the speaker..
And upon grinding to a halt behind the coach in front the only sentiments at that point would have to be...
"We can't stop here...this is cider country"

Human Traffic, slightly edited ...
"The weekend has landed. All that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. I've got 120 hours off from the world, man. I'm gonna blow steam out my head like a screaming kettle, I'm gonna talk cod shit to strangers all night, I'm gonna lose the plot on the dancefloor. The free radicals inside me are freakin', man! Tonight I'm Jip Travolta, I'm Peter Popper, I'm going to never-never land with my chosen family, man. We're gonna get more spaced out than Neil Armstrong ever did, anything could happen tonight, you know? This could be the best night of my life. I've got 300 quid in my back burner - I'm gonna wax the lot, man! The Milky Bars are on me! Yeah! "

"Last night was A1, tip-top, clubbing jam fair. It was a sandwich of fun on ecstasy bread, wrapped up in a big bag like disco fudge. It doesn't get much better than that, I just wish sometimes I could control these F**KING MOOD SWINGS!"
