Eh, it won't stick and they will do another gig for a big pay day again.

true, who else would pay the silly amount R&L did though...

Well I'm glad I saw the full line up before they split. I very much doubt this is the end though.

You never know. People have made more dogmatic 'never again' statements than that and ultimately changed their minds. Give it a few years.

Right now is not the time for The Libertines
In my eyes, this pretty much confirms that there is a future for them, just not in the next couple of years like everybody seems to be hoping.

Give it 4/5 more years and they'll headline R/L to fill the coffers back up. Glad I got to see them when I did though, them and Arcade Fire on the same night was unreal.

This is the same NME that confirmed that The Stone Roses would be reuniting, right? Hmmmm.

Good riddance but they'll be back. So overrated. NME is like Heat magazine.

I think this article just confirmed what everyone thought. They'll be back in a few years.

I dunno, if you've actually read the interview, Powell does the best job of summarising the whole situation. Whenever Doherty and Barat fall out, only Barat remembers it and by the time they meet up again Barat puts it behind him anyway. They'll be fine.
