hey Bamber, I've been wondering if you've ever heard any good reggae?

laugh.png , And it's taken you ten months to point this out? My tastes are what they are. Few agree with them. I do get the occasional supportive reaction. :pardon: You were the one that somehow missed Scratch at the Glade last year? However...........?

yeah, but that would have been a repeat for me ... whereas last year I got to add Johnny Clarke, The Abyssinians, and some others (who slip my mind right now) to my 'have seen' collection (and those two I name were both stunning :D).... will get Johnny again in May for free at Vegfest, can't wait. :)

The only worthwhile 'new' reggae I've seen in years was from a bunch of young white lads called 'By The Rivers' .... they were fantastic as a live act, but sadly the EP I blagged off them is pretty poor. :(

I'm planning to add Tapper Zukie, and Junior Murvin to my 'seen' collection this summer. The oldies are still the best. :)

'Misty in Roots'....who were fab.

I've just been trawling Youtube for a couple of hours for some of my old favourites. Misty in Roots are bloody great live, so much better than their studio stuff.

Ahem....unlike the 'Congo's', who are a band I really really want to catch before they die (pretty soonish by the looks of em') but the couple of tracks I watched were shockingly bad, even for a bunch of stoned geriatrics.... :O

Misty feature somewhere back in this thread, saw them many times, by all accounts John Peel's favourite album was Live at Counter Eurovision. Personally I love this one the most.....

Heard this tune for the first time blaring out of my (young) neighbours window on one of those sunny days. Thought it was Jamaican. Not so. Australian. Friggin' love this tune more than any other right now.
