That's the main peak time, but people will be gathering there through out the day from mid-day

1 pm Thursday
Again, people will be coming and going all afternoon and evening.

Every year a large bunch of Efesters gather together by the Cider Bus on both the Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Its great to finally put a face to the avatar and glatobate to your hearts content.

The cider bus is located just off the main drag east of the Pyramid Stage and it isn't the only bar there. It's next to a great 'Official' bar that does a couple of nice real ales and your normal pick of larger.

There will be hundreds of people there so even though we'll be a very  large crowd, we'll be hard to spot, but I'm sure some one will have a  flag or a banner to home in on (Edit> See pics of Lucy's banner below)  



Also lots of people will be sporting the efest logo on there clothes.

You won't believe the fantastic atmosphere there. Hundreds of people having just traveled for miles, qued, set up their camp and then finaly relaxing over a pint. It's such a good buzz.

Of course the big fluoro flag will be there (waits for the usual picture to get posted...Mikey??? )

This is such a long standing tradition for so many of us it doesnt really need announcing but to all newcomers (and those who are sometimes a little scared and havent taken the plunge to say hi yet), last year was bloody brilliant and such a great affair (the super sunset helped too).

The question is...will there be gallons of homemade madeira again???

Additional to the goings on there is usually a 'gather the Glastonbury virgins' at around 11pmish and a fair group of us toddle off to the Stone Circle for the traditional walk through the Green Fields and the 'Don't Look Back' at the top of the field where we turn the virgins around to witness the greatest view on earth and then fall over with happiness and smiles and collectively know we are all home for the next few days

It isnt THE photo but its a photo of the flag with some of our faces, come and search us out!!

Shifts provided, I'll be there! Still got pieces of my sticker on my Glasto t-shirt from last year. No more lanterns up at the Stone Circle this year Lucy . . .  

It truly is the greatest view on Earth from there as you say.

Was it not homebrew Port from Oily Joe, not Maderia?

I recall there were 2 drinks on offer. I know I got fairly squiffy on both. So dangerously yummy.

The port was phenomenal - really good effort from Joe and he was so generous with it. Think we got rid of all the 1992 and 1995 vintages.

Woop woop! Must nearly G time now if this thread is pinned!! Can't wait to see everyone! Not been on much in the last few months, started a new job and have been ubër ubër busy but am so looking forward to seeing all my Glasto buds in a few weeks time!

Hopefully some of you will be coming to the rifflemans on Glasto eve too as is tradition!
