I have just noticed that the G stage seems to be returning for 2011. Yippppeeeeee!!
2009 was the first year I went to Glasto and I spent a lot of goods times at this stage enjoying the sunshine and was gutted when they axed it for 2010. I really loved the music and the vibe at this little stage.
The acts that are listed on the line up pages appear to be of a dance nature, so I am assuming that it will again be located in the DV and am hoping that it will be the same stage I enjoyed in 2009.
Anyone else happy to see the G stage back or have any more info on it's location for 2011?

i think you'll be disappointed as i believe (please correct if i'm wrong) that the "G Stage" is the new name for what everyone would know as the glade. (not the small outdoor stage in the dance field from 07-09 which i think you're referring to).
I dont think the G stage as you know it is going to be there sadly! Seems to have been replaced in part by cubehenge as the outdoor dance venue in the oxylers field.
Confusing though with the names innit.

Oh really!!!
That's a bit crap......why not just stick to The Glade, or come up with a name that has not been used in the past haha......it's confusing for my little brain.
I spent time at cubehenge last year, is was ok......but didn't enjoy it as much as the G Stage the previous year.
Thanks you for the information

The Glade morphed between 05 and 07 into the big structure it is now.
The G Stage [formally the Glade]replaced the small clamshell stage that the Glade used to be in and moved into the DV in 07.. Definately Raja Ram played the Glade in 05 and then the G Stage in 07..
Lineup looks amazing for this stage and if I was going this is where I would be alot of the time, don't miss the Shpongle DJ set [expect this will be Raja again], Tristan, Gaudi, ADF, Dub FX...

The G Stage is a specific stage construction, that was originally designed for and used as the stage within the glade. It then moved to the dance village and another stage was used within the glade, but I guess with the shrinking of the dance village to being something smaller than it used to be the stage is now free to be used for its original purpose.

I wondered about the renaming. I also enjoyed the random danciness of the G stage in '09 and am very pleased with the lineup at this year's G stage in the glade.
I'll be there for DubFX and ADF at the very least, may well spend time around there checking out random acts I've not encountered as that has always been excellent at the glade.

I enjoyed The Glade in both 2009 and 2010, it's a nice set up with lots of decent acts.
I thought (for a very brief moment)I was going to get The Glade and The G Stage again this year, as it was in 2009, but nevermind. There are lots of acts I would like to see the said stage this year - so I will be hanging round there a fair bit anyway.
