Don't think anyone has posted, but there is a 3rd version of the map on TOS - here

Main addition seems to be the Shangrila access route which runs round from Gate C round the perimeter fence to Arcadia, Block 9 and Shangrila. I assume this is in response to the council feedback report that Neil put details up about a while back.

Interestingly Leftfield hasn't moved, though it looks like the Spirit of 71 Stage has shifted slightly.

For people who haven't read about this in the map thread:

Has it been confirmed as the only way in at those times?

I kind of took it as another route in at those times to eleviate the sheer volume coming from the pyramid direction. Definitely need some clarification!

Well - you can read it both ways, but the way the orange arrows flow certainly implies that between 23:00 and 04:00 you can only enter the late-night areas from Glebeland.

Basically making it a bit of a mare for anyone coming from the Green Fields/Park/Other Stage areas.

Hmmm...Not too keen on that.
On the flip side, if it helps to sort out the crazy congestion in the Arcadia area it has to be a good thing in some ways. It was mental there at times last year. At least I think it was Arcadia - I was just in a daze flowing with the crowd...whenever it moved!

Thanks for the map update.

Could be a nightmare if it is one way. I think one night we'll do the same as last year and miss the headliners and head in early one night, really enjoyed it and it was great wandering around while it was still quiet.

i view that as being a closed off area during the day and then at night its opened for access to and from arcadia and shangri-la.

the arrows to me look like it means you can get off here for arcadia or continue round to shangri-la.

cant see it being the only entry or one way.

If I read that right, it's surely just moving the problem to another part of the site?  Why not open both to alleviate congestion?  Don't really get it.

You see the long distance from Glebeland to Arcadia.. along a fenceline, perfect queuing area and will make it easy to manage.

From what I can make out, it definately will be the only access available from those times..

Might alleviate the overcrowding in Shangri La. If I went and saw a queue that would probably take me an hour to get in I'd probably give it a miss.

I take it you'll still be able to get into The Unfairground from the otherside? Quite fancy going there for a few nights.

Nah, I don't see it like that.  There are 3 orange arrows at the western edge of the late night areas (railway track, the common to Avalon and Arcadia to Bella's field) so I think they are saying it's one way in (round the back from Glebeland) and then out only via the previous ways.

I reckon if you get there before 11, you can get in wherever you want, but after that, one way in and one way out.

if you mean by the Strummer stone, then i hope so.  that path is still on the map. but from along the railway line, that'd defeat the point of a one way system

Looking at the map again I can see what youb guys mean. It will be interesting to see how it works in practice. Doubt i'll be queuing to get in. It's amazing in there but not worth getting crushed in a queue.

If (and of course this isn't going to happen) it gets muddy down there it'll be a nightmare! Not to mention - wouldn't there be some kind of H&S issues with people being fenced in in small areas if queues do happen? I know there are similar issues with the railway track, but at least there are paths to break off into Arcadia etc to alleviate some of the strain?

Personally we tend to head to this area for an 'early' evening when the headliners etc are on to have a look around before the chaos at least one night if there's no one we're fussed at watching!

I assume once you're in, you can move between Shangri-La/Arcadia/Unfairground/Block 9 etc at will?

If not, then its a massive pain in the tits.

Makes sense as the railway track did get really jammed at peak times.

Yeah, I think this will be ok - whichever way they do it, that bit of the site is bound to get swamped just after the headliners finish. I think I'll be heading in early one evening, or hanging on till it's quietened down a bit. Either's good, there are plenty of other interesting spots to explore.

I'd read it as the way the orange arrows flow certainly implies you can only use that route between those times - it doesn't say much else, so we're doing a lot of reading into things.  Certainly it implies one way on that route hugging the East side, but it says nothing about other routes and access direction.

Someone on the other thread suggested the Dragons Field route may be gone?  with it being staff camping.  I really hope not - the extra traffic that would throw through the Strummer area would ruin that part of the festival - and with the big fire it could be a danger too!

Also the late night areas are supposed to be larger, so hopefully there's less crowding rather than more.  I do fear for a queueing system though if it happens as being suggested, could lead to a proper crush!

Reckon I'll be in the acoustic for Brit Floyd Friday night so should be able to nip in there before the rush!
