Normally about 4/3 weeks before the festival isn't it? Dragon's and King's Meadow section first on the South side?

I went out for a ride on the bike at end of April last year i think the fence was getting delivered, loads of stuff in coach car park area, fence, porta cabins ect. I rode the bike to right under Pyramid stage,no one stopped me at all, think i have some photos somewere. Went again a few weeks later and security guards on entrance. Drove through this week all quiet. I did notice the Pilton Stores is up for sale though, got me thinking that did...

just had a quick look at last years timelapse from the pyramid, and you can just make out the fence going up may 13th. so a little earlier than that i suppose.
edit....may aswell put the vid in!

been up for sale for some time now...best part of a year maybe...amazes me why no-one has grabbed it...only shop in the village...pub next door...and although there is a Tesco superstore only 10 mins away in Shepton you'd think a little local shop would still be a gold-mine

I went for a wander round Worthy in May last year - almost certain it was Thursday 13th
Here is my link to the pics I took - the first 4 are actually from October 2009 but the rest are from last year. The one showing the superfence was taken up near (I think) what would be Pedestrian Gate B or whatever one is near the Circus and Theatre fields.

TBH I was amazed at how little was going on given the festie was 5 weeks away.

all very quiet pilton way today....no signs of the fence being delivered to site or erected yet..saw the bins though...and the long drops all ready and waiting to be installed...
there are however a lot of planning notices stuck up around the perimeter which basically relate to a minor change in licensing to allow performance of music on the Bandstand and Bourbon Street Jazz venues between 1700-2300 on Wednesday night...but with no PA system.
Other than that it's still about as rural as you could get....
i'll have another visit once things start happening and maybe get some pics

Maybe the key to getting in the festival for free is getting on the grounds before the fence goes up and hiding out there. lol
