Just saw that one of their members have died, on the website:

We are very sad to announce the death of our beloved friend and bandmate, Gerard Smith, following a courageous fight against lung cancer. Gerard passed away the morning of April 20th, 2011. We will miss him terribly.

The following shows will be cancelled:

    * April 20 St. Andrew Halls, Detroit MI
    * April 22 Metro, Chicago IL
    * April 23 First Ave, Minneapolis MN
    * April 24 First Ave, Minneapolis MN
    * April 26 Ogden, Denver CO

There will be more information as it becomes available.

Was really looking forward to seeing them this year.
Such a sad shame :(

Hope they still play, of course it's not the most important thing anymore. Glad that Gerard got to see his album released, although passing away one month after diagnosis is really sad.

Best Regards to the band, wish them well at this difficult time.

Rest in peace gerard smith. I would love to see tvotr but I hope they take their time, however long it takes to mourn his death. My thoughts are with his family and friends

Really sad news. As much as I'd love to see them at Glasto, wouldn't blame them at all for pulling out now. RIP.

I don't think the cancelled dates are due to them not having enough people to play but more because, as you'd imagine, they'll be pretty distraught at the moment, I know if I was in that position I wouldn't feel up to touring.

Yeah awful, awful news, for someone I presume was young and having the time of his life :(  We'll have to wait and see if they play, but yeah as others have said, wouldn't blame them if they didn't

According to allmusic they're continuing touring from late April, so I'd say they're still fairly likely to play.

Terrible news though, RIP Gerard.
