As predicted the festival will not budge on the coach aspect, in fact they pretty much accused me of making up the story so one of our friends did not have to travel on the coach. Nice.

So one of our second party who lives up north is having to come down to London and drive our camper van to the site.

It's from central London. There are a few logistical reasons why that's a "last resort" style solution - because we want to be next to our mates' camper (driving in at the same time) and one of us with a normal ticket cannot leave until the Thursday morning.

Hey dude, sorry you've had a bit of misfortune and I don't want to add to it, but if it helps with your planning, I thought I'd best point out that you can't park next to your mate's camper anyway. Only campervans are allowed in the campervan field and cars have to be in one of the random carparks. You're unlikely to be much less than a kilometre to be honest, so if you have heavy stuff, put it in the camper. If you just mean drive to the overall site with him, (i.e. you already know what I just mentioned :D) then I'd still lash your heavy gear in the camper as it'll likely be closer to the gate and you can walk in to where they'll be parked...
Good luck!

We are both in campers. As I was talking about our camper, and wanting to park next to our mates' camper, I thought that was obvious. Or maybe you just enjoyed thinking yuo'd spotted a stick to beat with?
