new festival in aberdeen called the northern lights in seaton park. its happening at the end of july and apparently...

I reckon this could well be another festival that comes and goes.. a bit like Live at Loch Lomond. We are almost into May, and they are hoping to sell 20,000 plus tickets from now until the festival in July? Pretty hopeful I think!

Northsound said yesterday that ticket sales were going very well. Then again, I did hear that on Northsound...

20,000 tickets per day for it's first year, no camping either. Plus the week after Wickerman and just before Belladrum.. over-saturation at that time of year.. I doubt this will be as successful as they would like!

Fair point Paul but Wickerman is at the other end of the country and Bella this year is lacking on anything that looks like a line up. Hope this is a success

Surely the fact its smack in the centre of the city means it will do ok no?

Exactly. The lack of camping shouldn't be an issue as it is clearly marketed as a city centre festival, trying to attract mainly residents from Aberdeen.
