Sunday night looking a bit sparse (for me) and was wondering does strummerville or similar still happen? Was thinking Frank Turner and camp fire would be a good way to end the W.E

Was listening to them last night and thought the same thing.
I was at Strummerville on the Sunday last year but had planned to head up earlier in the weekend, will definitely try and spend more time there this year

Strummerville usually starts later in the night (not too sure but as a guess I'd say about 10pm) and then runs till around 3am. They also don't usually announce the bands playing before hand. What they usually do is have a blackboard with the names and times of who's playing that night next to the stage, so if you want to know who's playing then you need to head down at some point during the day. Otherwise just go down and see what surprises are there for you to discover, as they usually have a fair few secret sets across the weekend.

Interesting thing I've just noted. The Lead singer of Glasvegas looks like Joe! It's uncanny!
Shame he doesn't make music like Joe did

Yeah if walking from Shangri-La into the Unfairground it's basically straight on (obviously following the paths around the sculptures and that) heading towards the Craft Field.

So he does.
I love the joe silhouette in the tree.
Only found strummerville last year but felt too old to hang around.

Just can't imagine you stumbling Dave

Wrong, try again! Not that I've ever stayed. Think I wandered into the area in 09 convinced Elbow were playing a secret set. As if! Just a tape between guitar-strummers.
Did Lissie actually play there last year? Heard she was going to. Who else did?

Frank Turner (who I unfortunately missed as I was in Shangri-La which was rammed and we just decided to stay there instead of wading through), Mystery Jets, Magic Numbers, Bombay Bicycle Club (didn't see these play but met them whilst they were hanging around Strummerville). These are the ones I remember.

One thing I must add is be careful around the fire. Last year I was sat next to it against the sofas and this guy that was smashed ended up dropping his tobacco everywhere. In his drunken haze decided to bend down to pick it up but in doing so started to go head first into the fire, luckily I managed to catch him before he went in

Yeah she did, she played before Frank. If I remember correctly there was a lotta powercuts during her set as I have a picture of her playing in complete darkness
