I am such a fan of Coxon it is ridiculous (long-term Blur obsessive) - own quite literally everything they and he have ever done

in fact, may be able to dig up the thread I started in about 2008 saying how good it would be for Blur to play, before being shouted down by people who said there was virtually no chance of them ever playing together again, and certainly not for 2009
I was chuffed to see Graham on this year's line-up, and the Park is the perfect environment! I've seen him hundreds of time solo/in various projects, and he doesn't play Blur songs on the whole, apart from a phase he went through of playing You're So Great (a phase I strongly suggest he revisits!) He does do a lot of covers though, and tends to play those he sees as appropriate for various audiences, so if we're lucky we may get a new arrangement of something or other (can never tell with Coxon)
He'll invariably play some new songs, which are sounding great! One that particularly stands out is called Running For Your Life... there may be live versions knocking about on youtube, I don't know... but he's back on the electric, post-Spinning Top, in which he just played the album start to finish, followed by a couple of covers, and on the November 2009 dates, renditions of Live Line and Baby, You're Out Of Your Mind - an absolute treat!
I'm glad he doesn't play Blur songs, and hope there aren't too many people that show up expecting them, and shout for them etc.- it's very disrespectful! There are always the odd couple at his solo gigs, though that's become less frequent as his solo stuff has come to greater prominence. Now at least they shout for his past stuff (stuff like Freakin' Out on the Spinning Top tour)
