He has a new album coming out... And he is good without Liam

Park Stage VIP maybe ???
Noel was always the driving force in Oasis - the Liam-free acoustic set Noel did (that he hates, ifaik) is probably one of their best gigs, and the Noel-based songs are many peoples favourites...
His sad-sack brother is just a singing car thief, now playing Ruttles B sides in his own tribute band.
Would prob watch Noel do his stuff, if not much else appeals.

He could certainly do a set without Liam, but what stage would he play?

Pyramid mid-afternoon or Acoustic headliner I would think.
I think the chances of him playing are nil though, although maybe he could play a festival where Beady Eye aren't.

I liked how he apparently said 'we cant have beady eye clogging up the bottom of the charts'
Such as shit band.

I know for a fact the he isn't starting to work with his band until June, doesn't leave long enough to get up-to speed for glasto.
I was told a few months ago he's not doing it, these things can change but I doubt it.

Could be a great acoustic set

As the greatest songwriter of at least the last 25 years, i would have him headline the Pyramid on Sunday even if he said he was just going to do a 2 hour fart. Beady Eye are good by the way.

He could do solo in the park, would go down well

he should headline the other stage on the Sunday, just because it would be hilarious to see Jay-Z's reaction when 3/4 of the festival was away watching Noel instead of Beyonce.

Given these yankee rappers and their suppossed gangsterism it might get him shot though.
Just about the only thing that would draw me away from Paul Simon I reckon.

I fell off my chair once at the 25 years comment, climbed back up then you got me with the Beady Eye comment, back on the floor I went.
Seriously, has he announced any gigs, has he released anything? I'm genuinely asking because it's not 1995 and I don't care anymore. If he isn't doing anything else I'd say it's fairly unlikely he's playing Glastonbury. You can add to that him making a cock out of himself slating one of the headliners. But like evey other random guess, until the full line-up is known with him not on it then there's a chance.

I'd love to see Noel, but he might as wel wait a few months till Beady Eye dissapear.

Noel would be great acoustic on the Sunday afternoon. He was amazing doing that at the Albert Hall last year.
Whether he'd want to do another Oasis "best of" is doubtful.
The supposed tracklisting of the album is as follows:
1. 'The Magic Can't Be Right'
2. 'Stop The Clocks'
3. 'Freaky Teeth'
4. 'Mile High Moon'
5. 'Come On It's Alright'
6. 'God Help Us All'
7. 'Don't Stop Being Happy'
8. 'Red, White And Blue'
9. 'If I Had A Gun'
10. 'I Want To Live In A Dream In My Record Machine'
According to Sourmash Music, the guitarist's as-yet-untitled LP will be released on October 3.

Or Jay Z would get the last laugh ... as the Main stage field would be massively rammed. M.I.A and an Oasis tribute act wouldn't draw many people.

why do people seem to think oasis are utter rubbish, but are desperate to see a noal gallagher solo set?
Surely he'd just be singing the same oasis songs you all say are crap? I dont get it.

It's great to see a composer sing their own songs. I think he's got a great voice.
I wish it was Liam who had walked and have thought that Noel should go solo for years.
