Ok, so i have until 11.59 tonight to decide whether to come to this year or not, i have my deposit down and its just a case of paying the rest off. Its just theres a few issues which stand in my way:

- Getting the time off work
- I have an exam the thursday before the festival
- And im going on holiday abroad the thursday after
- And just generally money

What im thinking is just paying for the ticket and then cancelling (if necessary) in the next few weeks if possible.

So does anyone know if it is possible to get a refund on just a general cancellation and when the deadline is.
Ive considered the cancellation insurance but after reading the terms and conditions, trying to blag it would be literally impossible.

Any help or own experiences would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The deadline for ticket refunds is May 6th 2011.

If you are unable to come to the Festival, and require a refund for your ticket, please contact Seetickets on 0844 412 4626 before midnight May 6th 2011. A £10 administration charge will be retained from all refunded tickets.

I think you have up until about the 19th May to get a full refund (minus £10 admin fee) on your ticket.

Edit: nevermind, didn't see the replies above :)

Can you cancel for any reason upto 6th May... or it got to be legit? e.g. a death.

Just a mate is wondering

Cheers mate. Got mine but a friend is really unsure whether to pay tonight but this might sway it. Cheers

Distance selling regulations state that a cancellation within 7 days should see all funds returned without charge also, so technically as long as you cancel by tonight...not sure whether the deposit scheme means your purchase date would be oct 2010 tho, worth looking into.

I had to cancel last year because Natalie Portman was flying over to London especially to get a 3 day seeing to from me and she's really allergic to pollen, so Glasto was a no go.

Appologies if this sounds like a stupid question, but if ticket resale is 17th April for cancelled tickets then is it possible to obtain tickets after this date, i would guess that statistically it stands to reason that there would be some cancelled after 17th April but does anyone know what happens to those, even if it is a few dozen?

There are very few legitimate reasons to cancel, but this one clearly is an exception no one could argue with.

There has for the last few years been a very small resale in May :)

I could be wrong, but there may even have been rumour of more than one small resale after the main one... or maybe I'm getting my secret resales mixed up?

Cheers for the heads up Mike, this is all new territory as the past couple of years were sorted in Oct.
