It's been said a few times already but AW and DC will rip the afterburner to pieces on Sunday night. DC is my all time fav house dj and AW always plays a blinder. Sons and daughters are a barry wee band as well. Decent enough announcement for me. Sunday main stage is still dire tho imo. Take it the circus is replacing the rizla?

I agree, I think it's a brilliant line-up cause it's offering such a huge range of genres, well-known mainstream artists to the more unknown, so there's the opportunity to go out there and discover new sounds! There are so many different acts I want to go see, including Beardyman, Skillrex and Fake Blood - all of whom I haven't seen live yet!! (How crap of me, I know!) But I'm also well excited to see more alternative/indie acts like Dog is Dead, Frightened Rabbit, We are Scientists and Wolf Gang.
Nero should be AMAZING too, his new album sounds wicked. And you can't go wrong with a bit of Chemical Brothers on a saturday night!!
Personally, I'm loving the line-up and cant wait for the 10th of June!!

I'm happy with the line-up overall, really looking forward to it now!
Acts I really want to see are: Two Door Cinema Club, Nero, Skrillex, Chemical Brothers, Cribs (impossible because they clash with the Chems
), Frightened Rabbit, Magnetic Man, Katy B, Glasvegas, Sub Focus, Fake Blood
Acts who I would like to see: Kasabian, Groove Armada's show (would like to knw more about it), Zane Lowe, Modeselektor, Annie Mac, Japanese Popstars, Wombats, We Are Scientists, Boys Noize, Beardyman, Clouds
So plenty for me to see over the weekend!

Can't say I'm too fussed with the additions but as a whole i'm quite happy. There isn't that many acts I'm really looking forward to seeing but i'm looking forward to just going for a 3 day party and Erol on the afterburner on the Friday is the perfect way to start!

I was on here moaning quite a lot about last years line-up, Rockness was always a dance orientated festival in my eyes and the direction it's moved each year really annoyed me. The minute I heard Paulo Nutini announced I thought I would be giving it a miss for sure but the subsequent announcements have been pretty good IMO and some of the bands that are playing are actually half decent this time around too. I'm really looking forward to:
Modeselektor, Nero, Paul Ritch, DJ Shadow, The Chems, Kasabian, The Cribs, Frightened Rabbit, Magnetic Man, Laidback Luke, Magda, Jesse Rose, Sub Focus, Beardyman, Derrick Carter, Andrew Weatherall, The Boxer Rebellion, DJ Yoda, Fake Blood live & Boys Noize
Roll on June
Would love to see a couple of Toolroom Records acts added seeing as Mark Knight cancelled last year

Announcements, have been awfully timed. The artists that have been announced are good though. We cant just keep booking the same old year after year... Who is gonna become the next big thing if its the same old story. I only know half of the lineup so intreagued. Looks fab and RNess usually produce the goods so looking forward to it.
Also glad to see the Daft Punk and Justice nonsense will stop. Ofcourse it would be good but for goodness sake it gets out of hand. (maybe cus ive seen em both... hahahaha)
Looking forward to see most of the above already said. Chembros, BN, Beardyman, Laidback Luke, Fake Blood, SMD and some newbies and some indie stuff for a change.

As they'll be playing for the third year in a row, I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 people who have already seen them live.

there's not that many acts i want to see on the line up at the moment but it will be a good opportunity to check out some acts i've not heard of.
i'm REALLY looking forward to rockness this year, it doesn't always have the best line up but it is a brilliant festival and i always have a great time. really excited about the arcadia afterburner and rock n roll circus

Yeah, he was supposed to play on the Friday iirc but got cancelled a couple of weeks before it due to a show in the USA or something. Would love to see him, Funkagenda or any of the big Toolroom guys added to make up for the cancellation last year
