Sorry mate, Interview with Michael Eavis this morning.

Do you have Pulp playing?
Pulp are doing Reading, and they're doing their own shows, so there's no point in us doing them as well.
So they aren't playing?
Definitely not, no.

I think its a really weak answer from him. From his answer I guess he hasn't booked any bands that are doing other festivals and other shows ?
I was also gutted to read the interview and have it confirmed they won't be playing. The line-up for me personally has been pretty much constant disappointment so far

It is a poor reason. I think something has gone wrong between him and the band in negotiating somewhere down the line

Yeah, I think thats what's happened too, they're playing so many festivals I can't see that them being exclusive to R/L is the reason for them not doing Glastonbury.
I'd have thought Pulp would have jumped at the chance to play, something must have gone wrong somewhere.

A better source than the guy that's organising the festival?!! I assume you're mates with Jarvis, then, because he's the only person who would be even equally as well informed as ME about Pulp playing. Tell him to let ME know that he is playing (apparently whether ME likes it or not).

My source is a band member!! But not Jarvis

Friday?! if thats anywhere near true how strange? Maybe John Peel Headliner, against u2 it could work?
Can't see em being third on other or pyramid. Park headliner? In reality saying friday I just think your on a windup tbh, but I want to believe you

Bet I could - but I won't. You will just have to believe me - or not, up to you.

I promise I haven't looked it up!
Certainly not sure about Friday, unless headlining JP stage which sees weird as they are much bigger than that, and would give massive security problems with an overflowing tent - so that leaves third last on Pyramid below U2 / Elbow which I find equally doubtful.
I'm not sure I believe Mr Eavis here, but I guess you have to take it as truth. I'm still holding out for them to be headlining Sunday Other or 2nd Pyramid on Sat / Sun. I hope!
