Can anyone help? As our group is taking our kids for the first time (all babies), I have just ordered a caravan pass with my tickets. None of us have ever done the camper/caravan thing. I have 3 questions that could do with help with.....

1. Where is the west caravan site, we always camp in west area but never seen the caravan site and hoping itīs not miles away.
2. I have ordered a carpark pass but now thinking car will be parked by the caravan and this was pointless. Is this right or do you pitch caravan then have to drive car to car park.
3. Does anyone know if there is a limit to tents able to be pitched next to caravan

Any help greatly appreciated.

The caravan section is / has been quite close to the main gate.  They seem to be scattered amongst the campervan fields really. E14 seems to be quite popular with caravans - see map: http://www.glastonbu.../2011map(1).jpg

You didn't need the car park pass - you park next to the caravan. Sell your ticket on ebay.

I've seen up to 4/5 tents around the campervans and caravans - lots of info here: http://www.glastonbu...ns-and-caravans

OK so scrap that, my sister in law just told me we dont have the caravan this time......great time to tell me 20 mins after paying 75 pound !!! Does anyone know if these sell on Ebay or if I can refund to see tickets without it affecting rest of my order.

What a pain in the arse, should be in the bar rejoicing in my ticket to see Bouncy! (is it too late for April Fools?)

Thanks Karman great help. Just spoken to another mate who may be able to lend me one so all may not be lost.

The car park ticket just occurred to me afterwards but have sold on Ebay in past when not needed so will do.

Think E14 is where I thought caravans went but it gave two options when buying west or east camper site so just confused me a bit.

Great news about tents cos I think all group wants to be together yet only enough room in a caravan for the wives and children, men relegated to tents so would be better if wee can get more around the caravan.

Thanks anyway. Got my fingers crossed for my other mate coming through with the caravan now.

You can see by Karmann's link you will be in either  W62 or W61.

As K said, you don't need the car park pass, but I doubt if you will be able to sell it on ebay, as you can just turn up on the day and pay for a car park ticket. Maybe sone one on these boards will buy it from you if they havent been able to get one and they want 'peace of mind'

I'm just confirming what K says again here - great link Karmann. I've also seen up to three or four tents pitched with a caravan. They are not too strict and I'm guessing they will only ask you to take tents down if you are infringing to much on other peoples space or you are blocking access.

You'll be fine Jay :) I'm taking my kids for the first time in 2013 in our Carava, can't wait.

This is a weird coincidence. My bro and sis'n'law are trying to get tickets in the re-sale. Because I'm afraid C'van passes may sell out, I bought one when I paid off my balance. If they do get tickets, they will get me a car park ticket, if they don't get tickets, I will have no bother selling the C'van pass for cost price when they sell out, but I will be happy to buy yours Jay, come the day.

It all depends on Re-sale day :)

ok cool just let me know as just found out other mate using his caravan for glasto so no chance there and I will therefore have a spare cīvan pass. Yeh had thought about just waiting till sell out of passes then just advertise on here or Ebay.

Let me know anyway and good luck with re-sale, I think I have some mates wanting to be involved too so could be a hectic re-sale day.

We took our 10mth old to Glastonbury a couple of years ago, it was fine, even with the mud!  We had a great time.  Although this year and last we opted to go alone - it's the only time in the year we get to be child free!
Sooooooo looking forward to it!

I didn't see that you had West side camping ticket - not sure about where the caravans are parked - we'll find out when we get there, we have west side and we have a caravan too!

:D

If you have a look on the map link posted earlier on and look at the bottom left corner you'll see the West campervan/caravan fields with their own pedestrian access gate E into the festival site.

distance selling regulations should mean that you can cancel your order within 7 days without penalty.

Or even inset a map as I did above as well... a bit like this,

It helps to read the topic first before you post :)
