That's what I was thinking. Assuming it's not an April fools joke...

Someones brought it up on Leeds festival facebook saying 'April Fools' and Leeds Festival homepage replied with 'no not april fools' or something

They have been added to the official site as the special guests.
Anybody else never heard of them?

Are they on Spotify? Maybe they don't really exist

I would have thought they a bit too small for an april fools joke. Would seem pointless using a band many have never heard of for this purpose.

Yeah I thought that, they've just played a couple of UK gigs this week so maybe they were waiting for those to pass before announcing.

Surprised by the reaction... haven't listened to them much myself (although what I've heard sounds good), but I've seen them requested quite a lot. I was expecting a lot of 'f**k YEAH!'s, but it seems to be mostly '...who?'s at the moment.

YESSSSSSSSSS. I love this band. Does anyone know who there likely to clash with?

IMO they are one of those bands that has good music but when the singer starts to sing it sounds bad.

Bit of a boring special guest really.

Has anyone noticed they are using a different font on their name on the line up poster on the official site?

Both Glassjaw albums are classics in the punk / hardcore world. Worship and tribute crossed over to the NME shoegazing world as well...GJ should be ace in the tent. Daryl's vocals are always a bit cruddy live but there should be plenty of GJ army screaming back the words.
On another note RE the nme tent, I wish you indie followers would move about a bit in the tent, where's the fun in standing still while watching guitar bands go mental on stage?
Will never understand I guess.

jump, on 01 April 2011 - 10:57 AM, said:Yeh they always do things differently. Last years poster had only the top two bands on mainstage have their own font. This year they have the top three. So was Serj in 2010 and they didn't use a different font. Special Guests is just a place holder on the line up poster till the band is announced.
