So here i am again, sitting on a weekend ticket for reading festival for the 10th year in a row.
Its funny how post 2006 every year i have said "That will be my last reading". Then every year i find myself scrambling for tickets because they have tempted me yet again with headliners like Smashing Pumpkings, Rage Against the Machines, Radiohead, Blink 182 and now The Strokes.
In fact i said last year...."I will only do reading in 2011 if they get someone like The Strokes"
And here we are.
Now im officially back in the game again (feeling older and older each time) I am looking forward to the weekend. Finally seeing the Deftones, getting to see The Offspring again....Bit of a bugger than the strokes will probably clash with Janes Addiction but Pulp should be great.
So well done Reading Fest.....you got me again, hook line and sinker.
Bring on the party!!!

I'm now at the point where I'm thinking this may be my last Reading... I know a decent line up may tempt me back next year if I know other people are going, but for the price of this years ticket I can get a rock am ring ticket and travel there and back in my car with the cost split between me and two friends. A few of the people I usually go with have dropped out this year already, so I can see more of us dropping out next year, as sad as it is to say I think we're growing out of the demographic that Reading and Leeds cater for.

This'll be my 13th year and I've never once felt like not going, the line up eventually always entertains me. The group I've went with has changed drastically over the years from about six or seven of us to two or three, this year it'll just be me and my girlfriend but no matter what I always have an amazing time and hopefully still will for a long time to come.

Haha not that old at all. Only 26, but even 26 seems to stand out against the majority of the Reading crowd

To be fair, my feelings for not going again normally stem from me wanting to go to other festivals. But Reading always turns out being a great weekend and i have had a core group of friends who have been going with me for the best part of a decade.
Planning on going to another festival abroad this year though too.
