When Death From Above 1979 hit the stage the NME tent could well explode, if the atmosphere is right and the band are on form it could be like witnessing a small riot. A funky, funky riot.
The National into Strokes/Pulp is one of the best few hours Leeds has put on in the last few years and will be brilliant.
The Offspring are finally there.
OFWKTA could prove to be one of the cleverest bookings by an festival this year. There is a very good chance that they'll seriously explode into the mainstream before Leeds and the tent could having well be heaving for them with FR taking all the credit for having the balls to risk it.
There are still bands to go above Friendly Fires! Right?...RIGHT?!
Muse aren't just going to bring the stadium show to R/L! Meaning we may actually get a good setlist for the first time in a few years!
2manydj's will bring the party. For those not wanting to see Muse, you are guaranteed a great night with 2manydj's, spinning everything from Dolly Parton to Royksopp, New Order and Nirvana and somehow pulling it off in a stunning fashion.

I literally cannot wait for Death From Above 1979. The footage from their SXSW show at the weekend is mental.

Offspring will be brilliant, when they perform "The kids are alright" I can imagine everyone jumping around and having a great time.
When Muse perform Plug In Baby, everyone singing along gives me goosebumps.
Although, a slow start to my festival (Reading Friday) it'll give me an oppotunity to check out new bands in the smaller stages and have a little relaxing good start.
National-Pulp-Strokes is just pure win. National will be breathtaking (I hope
), PULP will be brilliant fun and I love the Strokes and if their show is anything like IOW then wow!
Additions like Madness and Seasick steve please me as it seems more diverse, some ska and blues on a sunny Saturday will be grand.
This all pleases me.

Its a very very clever line-up, Festival Republic have dipped their toe in many genres this year, just how Leeds Festival should be. OK headliners are not the best but to see who is underneath them is amazing, The Offspring, Elbow are pure amazing, The National is a qauility booking and yes deserve to be that high up. Interpol, Enter Shikari, The View is just typical Leeds, mixing it up.
There are so many positives for me that outweight the negatives... Madness is qaulity and will proberbly be on of the biggest non-headlining crowds of the weekend, Muse will be amazing and Reading and Leeds will only ever see this 10th annerversry set and show they will put on.
Leeds SAT with MCR healining is one qaulity day if you like that style of music, a very punky, slightly heavy acts all over the line-up from 11am till 11 at night!
No clinging for positives for me, its a great line-up and which has made me quite happy considering i was a bit downbeat monday morining about MCR headlining... Got over it and i will be going to watch them to give them a chance.. if there wack.... Horrors it is...Simples!

Hopefully the fact MCR are headlining means that chavs all over the world thought 'yo that festival iz well gay' so we wont have to put up with them.
I like the look of Vaccines, Noah & the Whale, White Lies. As well as National,Pulp,Strokes.
I've wanted to see Madness for years but not wanted to part with the best part of Ł30 for the honour.
Roll on August.

with a sub-par friday, deftones could well stick out like a sore thumb and have one of the sets of the weekend in my opinion. seasick steve and madnesswill be ultra fun on the saturday, as well as an awesome top 4 of jimmy eat world, national, pulp and janes addiction. OFWGKTA also seem like a cool band to check out. then i love the sunday, muse, elbow, enter shikari, taking back sunday and frank turner, finally on the main stage.

Pulp finishing off our Sunday at Leeds will be awesome, gutted with the Janes Addiction clash, but meh whatever.
The Offsrping live and loud, I'd imagine they could be the band/set of the year just like Weezer last year.
Madness...
Jimmy eat world making up for seeing Foo's at Milton Keynes Sat instead of Sun.
Henry Rollins & Tim Minchin in the comedy tent
The rest of the NME & FR stages being announced
Manchester Orchestra taking that special guest slot 4th top on the NME

There's at least 15 bands I want to see at the moment - and to be honest after playing in the campsites all night I'll be lucky if I make it to all of them - line up is growing on me the more I look and add to my festival playlist :-)
