Foo Fighters, Bloc Party, Green Day

Although the only one I'm willing to say I'm certain of is Foo's, seems obvious like Strokes/Muse this year.

I think atleast 3 of them are still going to play this year

What makes you say that? I can only see Funeral For a Friend or Less Than Jake playing and both don't seem that likely imo.

Can't see it myself, all would have to be Lock Up headliners as 4th on NME/opening main wouldn't be suitable and I'll surprised if Gaslight play again.

I think FFAF will headline the lock up one day, and Descendents the other, gallows and LTJ could easily play beneath these dont you think?

Yeh Gaslight are an outside shot, there isnt really anywhere left on the line up for them, but you never know.

- Foo Fighters (seems sensible, they do every festival this year, R&L get 'big exclusive' next year)
- Green Day (Melvin's long silence and answer on the Rocksound interview make me wonder)
- The Killers (new album coming, live shows this year so could easily come next year)

I'd like to think it's too soon for The Killers to return.

They could but both Less Than Jake & Gallows headlined in 2008 and to have both bands not healined in 3 years would seem odd imo.

I reckon Dropkick Murphys will headline one of the days this year.

Probably spot on with BP+BF sharing the top spot.

Maybe Green Day instead of Killers but otherwise seem right.

Personally I had both NoFX + Dropkick Murphy's down for the Lock-up this year.

And people are saying this years is bad.

I'd imagine if Blur are up for it, they'll be booked. It's the only major festival they could play that they haven't since they reformed (debatably V, depends what sort of crowd they're going for.) All depends on whether they're doing anything next year though.

I can see one of green day and the Foos but not both. I imagine they would both be at the top end of cost in terms of booking them. Also think they share a similar fanbase which may mean they only go for one.

Metallica will play 2013. Look at the pattern, 1998, 2003, 2008... 2013.

People keep finding patterns today. It annoys me that people think they exist.
