I think it's doubtful they will announced other stages but if TD are playing i think they will be announced tomorrow.I
Posted 11 June 2012 - 07:01 PMI think if Tenacious D are playing they'll be announced tomorrow, as it's the first announcement after Download, and it would be the same concept as them filling in the gaps (Los Campesinos!, Mastodon and Mark Lanegan) with the NME Stage announcement.
However, saying that, I don't think they'll play.
Edit: Didn't realise that said 'next Tuesday', and thought Vieuphoria's pot was a response to your point about Tenacious D. Anyway, that's annoying, I was looking forward to it.

Posted 11 June 2012 - 07:33 PMThey've definitely got room. Would be a god booking over The Vaccines, would knock them down to a more reasonable slot and would make the lineup stronger. But I honestly don't see it happening. I have no reason to believe this.
Posted 11 June 2012 - 07:36 PMAlso looking at the band's below The Vaccines on that day, I can't see Enter Shikari playing the same slot as last year after releasing a successful album. I think they're a strong 4th placed band as it is.

Definitely agree with this. I would have thought all three
4th placed bands would warrant a higher slot than The Vaccines and Bombay, despite me not liking Shikari or YM@6.
Posted 11 June 2012 - 08:03 PMTen D could be below Enter Shikari, no reason a band on in the middle of the day can't have big crowds. They can be paid just as much as those higher up but just appear earlier. The main stage doesn't have a lower capacity just cos the sun is up.

I'm sure there are bands who have made similar drops, though I admit I couldn't name you any off the top of my head. I don't actually think they are going to play, but it would be nice if they did.
