i'll be paying the balance and making the decision in a few weeks whether to then get a refund or not. times are tight.
i can't quite bring myself to decide not to go, but i know going is stupid when i really can't afford it.

There is no earthly way I won't be there this year. I need something to look forward to and so far this festival looks incredible.

You might want to inform your lothario mate that as long as he has got his registration number (or can get it from SeeTickets) then he can still go. You pay the balance off using the registration number NOT the card the deposit was booked on. In fact, his partner will end up paying for £50 of his ticket if he pays the balance himself.
PS. He might have to inform GFL of change of address though so that they don't senf the ticket to his ex's address.

She may have already cancelled his ticket though.

Of course. Keep it low key and pay off the balance if possible. It just sounded like the ticket had already gone.

5/5 of ours getting paid off plus 3 extras needing tickets, bit ambitious perhaps...

Out of our group of 7 we are throwing 2 back into the pot - the wife and I split up this year and she's said shes doesn't want to go now and her mate has said she would love to but has a new fella and he wants to go away so she can't afford it - crap excuses for both of them me thinks but hopefully they will be picked up by someone who appreciates the place. No way am I giving up my ticket, even though on 1st April I have to also find £590 deposit and £550 first months rent on my new place plus all the other crap I have to pay (maintenance, etc) and by reckoning only have about £50 a month to live on once I've paid the rest of my bills!
