Think we’re going to go with the groundsheet trick too – sounds a good option as we’ll have a mixture of gaymers & lager. We also have a couple of soft foldable cool bags that each hold 16 cans max, have always worked a treat over past camping trips/festivals.
Quick q: what’s the general advice for the transport of all form of cans from car park to site – bag up, box up, carry in a bucket??

I remember buying a bottle of sprite before orbital to mix with my absolut raspberry. I was handed over a boiling hot bottle of sprite and informed that would be £3

Yeah that happened to me a couple of times later on in the weekend as well...they stack the soft drinks floor to ceiling in the vans in direct sunlight which is annoying on hot days but i guess there's no other options given they have to take stock for the whole weekend...
Still like you say, £3 for boiling hot soft drink which costs £1 from a normal shop grates a little for sure... Still better than paying 5-6 quid for a standard spirit measure/mixer at a bar

Not that bad considering you can't even buy 2ltr bottles of anything at most festivals (I know Bestival has one cornershop esque place to buy stuff on the walk to the arena) & the money you'll save not buying £7 cocktails.
Would have expected it to be luke warm or less though.
Think I bought a couple of cans of the green Monster energy (which I quite like compared to other energy drinks) for £2 or £2.50 which I though was fair enough.
I'm taking the Westons organic 3ltr box, Strongbow & Petrov vodka pouches this year.

Don't know if it's just restricted to the Asda by mine (Aintree by the way) but they had the 12 packs of Jim Beam and coke for £6 yesterday. They were a life saver for meself last year when all my other booze had gone nuclear.

Oh I also went to a very small local bluegrass festival last year and was introduced to the wonders of Mead on a hot day.
I shall be locating and taking a small amount of mead this year, not too much as it makes my head spin too quickly. Has anyone got any recommendations ?
Edit: I understand there are loads of varieties. The one I had which I really liked definately still had a honey sweet taste to it and was more viscous than beer or wine. A little bit syrupy.
