So with votes of 31 for the Chems and 39 for the 'Lips we now have our final runoff.
Who did you enjoy most and why?

Flaming Lips.
The idea of comparing that flaming lips gig to a couple of guys playing records on stage is absolutely laughable.

Your so right...Flaming Lips for me were the best thing at Glastonbury 2010, just can't see what there is to get excited about with watching anyone playing records. No contest at all.

Another vote for The Lips.
I touched Wayne's ball

Chem bros, this is from TV though as I stupidly chose to go see Gorillaz and then the XX instead of Lips

Wish I'd concentrated on and gone to see the Lips in place of trying to catch 3 bands who were clashing, none of whom I ended up enjoying!

Got to be Flaming Lips for me, my favourite act of last year. I didn't go see Chemical Brothers in 2004 was watching another legendary (but for very different reasons) set instead.

The Flaming Lips was about as close to a religious experience that I'll ever get. It really was special.

I don't think the Flaming Lips would win this if the poll was conducted in ten years time. They're obviously one of everyone's cult favourites at the moment and they only played recently. Don't get me wrong, I really like them. But I voted Chems cos they were awesome!

Homer, on 16 March 2011 - 10:56 AM, said:The fact that both these pols look like they're going to be won by bands who played in the last two years would tend to suggest that you're wrong!
not really.
Radiohead 1997 would undoubtedly win a "best headliner of all time" poll so that makes no sense.

They wouldn't deserve to.

it's based on that radiohead gig regularly topping "best gigs EVER!" polls in music magazines and similar websites so I dont think it's too much of a stretch to think it would probably come out on top here too.
I cant think of any other glastonbury headline sets that have been better, can you??

Yup! Bowie in 2000 was better. Fact (although or at least "undoubtedly")!

There's several better than Radiohead in 97.
