Pleased with the rejigging of the late night areas, for all the reasons stated plus moving arcadia stage further from Avalon prevents the soundclash on the headliners (gomez vs Arcadia last year it was a particular distraction).
I know this is not any sort of empirical measurement, however it looks like there is another slight swelling of the overall camping space this year.
Hoping to camp in undleground again this year, if I can't get such a luxury spot it will be among pennards/park/dairy for us.

As long as theres a spot at the top of Michaels Mead for me to camp I’ll be happy!

Dragon's was like this last year - only made so a few weeks before the actual festival as well. The lower end where I used to camp has now probably gone forever to the Shangri-La etc. crew. The small upper end though (albeit mostly on a rather steep sloping bit of ground, not easy to camp on), is still available for the lucky first few arrivals though. Incidentally, its in the corner of that section where you'll find the Underground Piano Bar . . . (unless its moved this year).

Qyuite happy where we camped last year has a proper name now.
Got a bit bored of telling mates we were camped in "New Camping Area" - was like being at a North Korean festival!

Happy to see they've stuck 2 sets of toilets back in Pennards, rather than the daft, one set, half way up like last year.... though, just checking out the 2010 map, there were allegedly two sets too.

I see Gate B has been widenend to allow Bono's ego access to the site

From what I can see (unless I am missing something) the map just says 'Phone recharge' with an icon next to it - that icon is not (as far as I am aware) Orange's logo (which is black and Orange or white 'o' on orange background).
So I think that proves there is phone charging being provided on site but not who is providing it?

The version on this topic says Orange chill and charge. The one on the official site has been updated since it was first posted and now just says Phone Recharge
Yes I was looking at one on glastonburyfestivals rather than the one on the main page of this thread - that would explain it then!

Where were the football fields last year? Presumably they won't be needed this year which will open up a whole load of camping space?

There were definitely two distinct toilet blocks last year but they were so close they could have made them one. I hope they return them to their old positions because it's now a long walk to the toilets from the Glade and a very long walk from the stones.Happy to see they've stuck 2 sets of toilets back in Pennards, rather than the daft, one set, half way up like last year.... though, just checking out the 2010 map, there were allegedly two sets too.
I also hope that they fill the crew camping at the bottom of Pennard a bit better this year -- last year I didn't see it more than a third full, which is a shame especially considering how much demand that spot is normally in (not that it affects me because I wouldn't camp there anyway).

The main area was Bushy Ground { near gate D } but this may revert back to its 2009 usage so you cant really presume anything. In 2009 it was crew Camping.
They shuffle things about and while a map that is dated 8 th of March 2011 may indicate Camping by a flick of a mouse it can revert back to its former usage.
It will all come out in the wash.

That said, remember the two world cup fields last year were never even marked on the map and only revealed to exist when we got there (can't remember where they were either) so who knows...
they had to be rented specially to show the world cup i think

the orange chill n charge tents are always rammed, quite useful imo, be a bit of a hassle for a lot of people if it was scrapped
I'll be camping same as ever, pennards or maybe near JP , not really sure
