My usual source has told me that the headliners are Muse Strokes and MCR.
This is last he was told. He also said the Prodigy are not playing this year at all

Guess this pretty much confirms what most people already thought.
Cheers though :)

No worries.
My source has always been right since 2003 but i believe last year there was just the confusion between whether libertines were headlining or subbing with arcade fire

Yeah I remember you getting it right for the last few years, tbf I remember last year Guns N' Roses and the Libs coming out f pretty much nowhere, was hoping for a surprise again but oh well.
Also glad the Prodigy are taking a break, they're the most over-toured band in the country atm.
Any other info?

Nothing else to say unfortunately. I would have loved to have seen prodigy this year though.

I could see 30stm below MCR.
Defo could see offspring on nme stage while strokes are on

Strokes/Offspring clash would be the worst clash ever for me

That wouldnt make sense because the organisers 'hopefully' would know that the majority of mcr fans will be fans of offspring too. I love the strokes too but it would make more sense to have them on at the same time

Isn't that the point of a clash? Draw fans away from an act to balance the stages?

Sorry but I fail to see the organiser's reasoning for choosing MCR to headline. Sure they might be popular amoungst the younger crowd but I don't think that applys to your normal festival goer.

Horses for courses though.

No idea on days.
I hope this info hasnt changed since my source last got told. I am looking forward to all the headliners. Even though offspring will be a tough choice if they are headlining nme stage.

Shit. Glad i'm not there :) Pulp would be good. The Strokes are dull, Muse are avergae, and Elbow are, well actaully very good live. MCR are the worst headline in recent memory though. However they'll probably put on a better show than Blink did. ha.

I was waiting for you to start a topic, and thiis cofirmed the headliners for me. I am fairly happy with them but like every1else i hope there is a good alternative to mcr. Also i would hate a offspring/strokes clash. And actually i thnk offspring could sub mcr?
