Surprised nothing/very little has been said about them, I know their new album bombed quite badly last year but they'd surely get a very strong crowd if they played, and after having done Reading and Leeds last year again, it'd probably be in their interests to play elsewhere.
I was thinking maybe 3rd or 4th down on the Other Stage, headlining the Park or headlining the John Peel with an early Pyramid slot?

Probably be JP headliner or something
They are very good live. Improved greatly. Saw them at Reading after Blink-182 decided they were actually unable to play anything even vaugely representitive of a decent gig. Klaxons blew them away.

Early Pyramid would be a disaster. They'd have to be in a tent/darkness.

the sunset park gig suited them well last time

I expect them anyway
Them and the horrors are nailed on in my opinion

2007 they were one of the poorest live bands I've ever seen.

Cant be any worse than MGMT surely?
I'd like to see these lot. Missed out on them in 2009 as they clashed with Kasabian (and Pendulum, they'd have been 3rd on my list, such a bad clash there).

I am a major fan
I think the album done orite among the hardcore fans but didn't really get out there. It's bit weird I blame marketing partly as it seemed to circulate around fans but not really anyone else (I know a few people at Uni have been shocked that they have the 2nd album out).
I really like the 2nd album to, i think as a whole album I might prefer it and its really improved there live set, I saw them 3/4 times last year at varying venues. As for glasto, maybe under the chems? thought they work best in the dark in a tent, so headlining the JPT on the saturday would be best

I saw them at Reading too, they played a really good set. Their live performance has come on leaps and bounds - they've obviously put some effort into actually learning how to play their instruments and everything. I'd like to see them at Glastonbury again - either in a dark tent or on the Park stage late on.
However, a word of caution - I also saw them at The Forum in Kentish Town last year and they were very average. From that performance I'd say they have little belief in their new material, so I think any set worth seeing would have to rattle through the first album and pay scant attention to the new stuff. Which is a shame, really.

I was at that gig. I thought they were good but very little crowd interaction from what I can remember. It would be interesting to see them play an open air slot.

They were poor on the Other Stage - I agree - but in the Dance Tent the previous night, one of the best things I've seen at Glasto
Some bands have to be in dark sweaty claustrophobic hell holes to work

Yeah, it was the other stage I watched them. Not seen them since so almost 4 years for them to have improved live.

Absolutely spot on. Glasvegas being another example. Absolutely lost on the Other stage 2009 but mindblowing earlier in the year in a small venue in Newcastle.
Anyone any idea why Klaxons have cancelled their US tour? Unforeseen circumstances apparently- but what does that mean?

Never seen them live but judging from the below video they certainly put on a good live show

I gave them three chances live in venues ranging from the barfly to the other stage, and all three times they were absolutely dreadful. The other stage show in 2007 was one of the worst things I have ever seen. Totally incapable of even playing their instruments, and for a band who's music relies on vocal harmonies not one of them could sing in tune

Hope they don't headline JP or whatever, don't want them to clash
Lower down on the pyramid would be perfect..
