Playing two gigs, one at Ally Pally and one as an Eden Session headliner. They were an Other headliner last year, but could they come back on Pyramid maybe?

Would be suprising to see them play 2 years on the trot, but they went down an absolute storm last year, by all accounts (didn't see them myself, but would make the effort if they are back this year based on the reports of last year's performance).

I was thinking the same thing, but I doubt they will. Such a fun live band I may just have to go Edan for that. Would love OKGO to play as well got really into their new stuff recently. I wonder if my body could handle another festival after just 2 days of rest after glasto, hmmm.

Eden is hardly a festival really. It's more just a small outside gig really

This is pretty much my take on it. Never really been a fan - liked a few tracks but of the performances I watched on Sky+ after getting home last year this was the one I wished I'd seen.

As much as I enjoyed them last year I don't think they should play again, it would just ruin it if they play too often.

Didnt manage to catch them last year but like everyone else id be suprised if they played 2 years running. Still wouldnt mind catching them somewhere down the line

I don't think they could match that set for me, emotionally. However they can come just to play Race for the Prize and a few others they missed out. I'd rather they didn't try and equal the performance and atmosphere of Do You Realize?? though.

will almost definitely go to Eden and if they played exactly the same set as I saw on the Other stage last year I would be happy. The only thing that could have improved last years performance was a better ambience than the Other stage field, and Eden is such an amazing setting I just know this is going to be one of the best Eden sessions ever!!
Also a bit worried about it so close to Glasto, but at least it is only just over an hour from home

Haven't seen them all, but I'm certain there is no better live act in the world right now. If you have never seen them, do. If you do and it's not a life changing experience, then you have no soul.

can we be in both threads or is it one of those choice things, because I want to be in both the FL and AF threads

This, really. That was one of the finest live shows I've ever seen and they're up there with my favourite bands, but they definitely shouldn't play again until at least 2014.

I missed them last year but saw them in 03 and would love go see them again. However after a high profile set I cannot see that happening unless it was on the pyramid somewhere. But even then it would be unlikely.

Yes, was my favourite performance of last year. I was lucky enough to catch them live 3 times last year (inc Glasto) and I am thinking of gambling on them not being at Glasto this year and extending my trip South to include the Eden gig on the Thursday. Taking the van to Glasto so not too much of a hardship and an extra few days off after the festival will be nice.

One of the best live bands ever. Fact.

I reckon they will play and they will do the Soft Bulletin from start to finish, headlining the other stage.

I think it's highly unlikely they'll play two years running, despite turning in a stormer last year. What a pleasure it was to see the crowd swell and swell as they went on.
Still I don't mind as I'll see them do the Soft Bulletin all the way through at Primavera

This may be a crazy idea, but maybe the John Peel headliners will each be bands doing an album in full? The only way I could see the Lips playing in 2011 would be if they were doing something different to last year, like an album in full on a smaller stage, and with lots of rumours of Primal Scream doing Screamadelica, maybe there could be a Don't Look Back-style hat trick of headliners in the tent?
