pretty sure the last i heard was that chas didn't want to perform anymore due to the death of his wife? Does this mean they are back together for one last time then? If so i think they should play somewhere on the thursday to give em a proper send off!

It was Dave that quit (the bassist) after his wife died. Chas is still touring with his band and there's a reunion tour this year. Saw Chas play in my local pub the other week, absolutely cracking. Would be great to see them at Glasto again.

Were you there a few years back in the Accoustic Tent ?

My mate took a few soft toys , ready for a certain song !

The song came on a my mate launched some lovely bunnies at the stage , one hit a mike stand I think
and what must the road crew have thought when clearing the stage !

Caught them at the Park a couple of years ago - 2007 or maybe 2008. I remember it being really muddy and there being lots of hay, but the sun being scorching hot!

Anyway - yes they are a good laugh, but what realoly surprised me was what great musicians they are - that guy can really play that piano!

They've played on loads of important records, toured with lots of the greats in music history. No suprise they know one end of a mic from another.

They've been sampled by Eminiem (from a Labi Sifre recording), toured as part of Jerry Lee Lewis' band, worked with Phil Lynott, Roy Wood etc. Hell of a musical pedigree

The vid on YouTube from 2005 for "Ain't no pleasin' you" is quintessential Glasto. Everything that's great about England in one blissful moment.

Growing up in Margate, they were always around and about. Saw them at Glastonbury and they were great, but my favourite gig with them was 4 or 5 years ago at the 100 club with a bunch of mates. Absolutely rammed, great atmosphere and I was well away. Superb night. We ended up at a proper hipster party in Shoreditch full of Nathan Barley types with asymetrical haorcuts professing a love of Japanese nu-dub jazz or something. We all piled in singing 'Ain't no pleasing you'. Magnificent end to the evening.

My favourite memory of them is from around 25-30 years ago when I used to live with my parents. I had a video of them taped from the telly 'Live from Her Majesty's', every Saturday night I would come bladdered and put it on and have a sing-song on my own, and a Chicken Madras. Every week I would wake up in the early hours, the tape still playing with my head in the curry. Happy Days

This makes sense - that was who the piano playing reminded me of - proper rocknroll!

Would wet my pants if they played again, brilliant music, amazing musicians. Should be booked for either late night Avalon or opening band Pyramid Sunday midday.

Actually as we're talking amazing facts, many many years ago didn't they headline while being supported by the Beatles?

When Chaz 'n' Dave played The Park in 2009?, my so-called mate had me going that Dave had left Chaz some years ago, and Dave had been replaced by someone else. The stage was too far away to verify this at the time.
