Stick it up your arse, security are going to go through the trouble of confiscating booze from people nearly of legal age who don't look about 12.
So you best hide it well, and drink it in a secret location.

Seriously dude, they won't care about some 17 year olds drinking, it's the proper younguns who'll get it confiscated.
Know what I did when I was 17? Walked in with it in my hands, as did all my friends.

only slight problem is that everyone in our group is 17, does anyone have any tips on how to get alcohol into the festival?
Just walk in with it. You'll have to carry enough for a whole weekend as you'll have some bother getting alcohol once there though, all the vendors & outside stalls selling booze vehemently ask for ID.

Try buying a sack trolley, load it up with crates & hope it doesn't rain on Wednesday.

This. All security do (if they even do this) is check you've got no glass. Although I have yet to be searched in 5 Readings.

It's just people that can't cope a few days without knowing what's going on at home & what people are saying on facebook, if anything my favourite part of the festival is that fact that you're cut off from the world & you can just let your hair down for the weekend.

Amen to that! Other than football scores I couldn't give a crap about the real world
