Article on Elbow in this month's Q confirms they are supporting U2 on Friday night.

woooooo!
But....what about Arcade Fire?!

Cool. Been hoping Elbow will play

Elbow
No Arcade Fire???

Hmmm...good news on the confirmation (means official site will update soon, I'm sure), also good news to hear Elbow get such a high billing.
..and now the down side. If AF aren't playing second fiddle on pyramid that sort of suggests they might be the band to headline other stage against U2. I hope not, as I was quite looking forward to seeing U2.

Oh no it's going to be a U2-Arcade Fire-Bright Eyes clash isn't it? It just is.

Supporting doesn't necessarily mean 'playing immediately before'.

Are you able to scan in the relevant pages?
My hopes of Arcade Fire are rapidly dwindling. They are headlining numerous other festivals this summer (including Bonaroo). Seems inconceivable that they will headline the Other Stage.
Only spots left for them appear to be subbing to Coldplay or a secret guest at the Park.

I'd just this second received info that Elbow are definitely playing Glasto this year - but I didn't have the day or slot info.
So thanks for that.

Excellent, thought Elbow would be there this year.

Though, they haven't confirmed any UK festival appearances yet... always hope!

Surely it could still be:
U2
Elbow
Arcade Fire..?

So pleased about Elbow, can't wait to see them again (& at last one of my gambles about not buying a ticket for a tour in case they appear at Glasto seems to have paid off!).

I did the same, fingers crossed this doesn't rule out Arcade Fire though or create the nightmare clash of Arcade Fire against Bright Eyes. That would be the toughest decision ever

No, no it couldn't.
One point we're missing so far though is, we don't know when this interview was conducted. It must've been at the very least, last week. What's to say Arcade Fire haven't been booked now and they've taken a drop?
